GK Grand Comfort

Had a one night stay here before going on a cruise. The hotel itself is beautiful . It is also very busy as most people use it as a stopover to make their way onto a cruise. The location of the hotel could be better but it offers great views of the Acropolis from the pool deck. The pool deck is very nice with two pools an outdoor bar with plenty of seating and large sundecks. I recommend going up at night to have a drink and look out at the Acropolis. Also an indoor restaurant is located there as well. The service throughout the hotel was top notch.

I would have loved to give this a 5-star rating, given how wonderful the staff was and how comfortable their public spaces were. They've really made this a welcoming place, even outside of the normal check-in & -out hours. The room itself (the mattress, the bedding, the space to store things off the floor) was great! So why only a 3-star rating for the room? The bathroom. It does not provide any privacy. The doorway is at the head of the bed (in the room we had) instead of around the corner into the entryway to the room. So, all sounds when using the bathroom are not muffled or closed off at all - especially when you add the fact that it's a sliding barn-type door. Who thought that would be a good idea? So, door placement and style both create a very uncomfortable bathroom experience. Add to this the fact that the sliding door was quite noisy and clunky, and using the bathroom in the middle of the night completely woke up the other person lying there. Just some unfortunate bathroom style choices that put a damper on an otherwise very pleasant stay. Unfortunately, simply for the bathroom issues, we would not stay here again.
