Our experience at this hotel was not good. The company booked this hotel due to it's walkability, central location & offerings. If you look at the website it displays pictures of gym facilities but the gym is just up the street and is 15 CHF per visit. As a 4 star hotel, it didn't have basic facilities like iron & kettle for tea. It does have compostable coffee pods. It is more like a dated 3 star hotel. The night duty staff especially the middle eastern looking gentleman was really helpful and went out of his way to help us find a restaurant and how to get there. I tried the Italian restaurant and it was great. Thank you for your recommendation! The breakfast was so disappointing there isn't much on offer for people who are unable to eat dairy, eggs & meat due to health issues. My 3 star is based on the service of helpful staff and friendly cleaning staff unlike the breakfast lady. At our first breakfast, M.morgan ( the shorter blonde solid looking woman) steered us from one of the available table and rudely stated "it's not for you, you are two people, this table is for four people" "no exceptions" whilst the other two tables by the window were only occupied by one person and two people respectively. I saw a german gentleman give her attitude back and she backed down. She definitely preferred the German speakers. When she offers you coffee, don't expect barista coffee they are just Nescafé sachets. The chef made eggs at the egg station and you could request omelettes, and variations on fried eggs and would deliver them to your table. Thank you on behalf of my partner! Our room number 522, could do with a thorough dust, there were spider webs hanging off the ceiling. I have a very strong allergy to dust and had to dust the room myself & take anti histamines. Unfortunately I still suffered from dust rash & puffy red eyes. The pillows looked fluffy but were mostly air filled and needed to be folded into fours to get a normal filled pillow. The bed was extremely soft, woke up with a sore back. The carpet is dated and probably added to the dust issues. The carpet is a dark royal blue and was difficult for my vision impaired partner to see and get around the room bath had a shower curtain which had mold at the bottom. Toilet seat loose, had to keep fixing before sitting on it. The toilet paper is very thin and rough. The soap was not strong enough to wash your hair or body. The body lotion was ok. They do provide a pair of slippers, plenty of cost hangers, laundry bag and disposble shower cap. The positive about the bathroom, it had heated towel rails, magnifying mirror and a washing line. I stayed Nov 7&8th and any spillage at the conference I had I could spot clean and my items were dried in no time. There is a mini bar in the room. Keys instead of fobs, very heavy knob attached to the key which you can leave at the reception desk before you head out and request when you return. In the lobby: They do have soundproof cubicles for working which were helpful when making a work call. The women's bathroom has a make shift changing mat and good lights for touch ups. They have an area you can hang your coats. They do hold your bags and the lovely helpful middle eastern looking gentleman tagged them and kept a firm eye on important items and remembered if they belonged to you. They do offer travel adaptors. Would not recommend for value, allergy sufferers, & non meat/ dairy eaters.

We arrived on a Sunday only to find out everything was closed. (apparantly most of Europe is closed on Sundays and lots of stores usually close in August for 2-3 weeks vacation.) We did find Sprungle restaurant open, delicious food! we booked this hotel thinking it was central, it's NOT, it is in the financial district, hardly saw a soul whilst out looking for a restaurant. Also, it said it had a restaurant which was closed for 3 weeks vacation (should have been told this before we booked) Breakfast was very good if you didn't eat too late, otherwise the teapots, pastries and fruit were all gone. Room was okay for the price, it is dated though. Found everything in Zurich was expensive. Should have down more research before we went.
