very nice stay the all staff is really kind and helpful they always escort you to table or if you go somewhere if you need any help. the reception staff call Anna really friendly and kind provide amazing service during the stay. the room is comfortable and large with nice view over the city. housekeeping maid always smiles and saying hi when they see you in the hallway. overall nice stay will definitely come back.

First the location is great. It is located in Tianhe district which is the CBD area of Guangzhou. There are 2 malls located within walking distance - mall of the world and K11. There is a metro station located 10 minutes by foot. 15 minutes drive from Guangzhou East train station, 30 minutes drive from Guangzhou South train station, 35 minutes drive from the airport and some 35 minutes drive to Beijing Road (famous for it's pedestrian street) The placement of the reception is quite unique as it is located on the top floor while the rooms are all located underneath the reception (you need to take 2 separate elevators from lobby to reception then down to your room) Check in was fast and efficient. They will take photographs of you as you are being checked in (in line with the new government policy). The room itself is really spacious. The beds are comfortable. Bathroom is big with a nice bath-tub. However, the placement for the lighting switches are horrendous. There is also a lack of lighting inside the room. Charging ports are plenty (so you dont have to fight with your friends / family member) One thing that I notice is that while the staffs' ability to speak english has increased tremendeously, it is somewhat still fall behind the standard that should be implemented by a household name like Grand Hyatt.

Great stay here, the design and the hotel is very nice. The gym is great. The buffet is amazing. But the cleanliness of the room could use some work. There is silicone seals ripping off in the showers, and there is quite a bit of dust that could be cleaned better. But overall great stay with nice staff.

This hotel is overdue. Not the Grand Hyatt you are expecting. This is not a western hotel, it has a western brand, but the mark has been missed. Service in the hotel is mediocre at best. The rooms have a strange layout, but are fairly good, just a little tired. Location is good, plenty of food nearby. You’ll need it since the dinner buffet is $80USD!!! I took a pass on the western “steakhouse” because there wasn’t a soul in there at 7pm. I was the only westerner in the “western” bar... If you find this hotel for less than $120-130USD per night, probably worth it. It is not a western hotel as you hope.

This is a great hotel for it's central location, Shopping malls and restaurants within a very short walk, I would recommend a stroll around the park in the evening. Metro is also walking distance. Hotel itself is feeling a little tired and could do with some updating, but pleasant staff, and lovely restaurant make up for this. The baths are a small square affair, so unless you like sitting cross legged in the bath or are under 3 foot tall you won't find it very relaxing. Great concierge service.
