Greenheart is adorable and the staff are sugar sweet. The room we had was small-ish but comfortable enough for our needs. The AC worked well to provide respite from the overwhelming heat! There was only one chair, so for a party of 2, no place for the other to sit, other than on the bed. The street noise can be a bit loud, even though the hotel is not on a busy street. The cars, barking dogs, and music from nearby apartments can disturb sleep. Bring earplugs or use a white noise app on your phone. These worked fine in our case. The location is not well lit at night and there are no sidewalks at all. Walking anywhere from the hotel requires vigilance as there are big holes that could sprain an ankle or worse. The pool was great for cooling off and the evening ambience was very pleasant. And, of course, Mr. Woody the resident tortoise added a fun note of curiosity to our stay. The staff helped us find restaurants and ordered taxis for us. There is a lovely bakery only a few meters away and a coffee shop too. One of the pictures is of the old, run-down building across from Greenheart that is described in some of the reviews. There is a story behind why it is the way it is. Ask the staff. If you want a run-of-the mill Ramada Inn, go there. If you want a plush, luxurious room, this is likely not the place for you. If you want a locally owned, quirky, and beautiful inn, with ample, delicious breakfasts and an awesome staff, stay at Greenheart. Yes, the bathrooms are small. Yes, the "shower" (sprayer) is on the wall in the bathroom. "Everything" doesn't get wet if you point it in the proper direction. Just take some care and it works fine. We stayed for a week and would gladly stay there again!

an oasis in Paramaribo. Munesh and his team deliver incredible service. the hotel was built with a lot of care everything like aircon, wifi, breakfast, pool is excellent. it stands out in Paramaribo which initially seems a bit down on its luck until you get to Georgetown and realize how good you had it!

Just amazing! Were do you find a pitoresque hotel like this in Paramaribo? After goodnight sleep in beautyfull room, a morning dip in there saltwater pool by upcomming sun and a great personal breakfast and top service accompanied by Mr. Woody there home toirtois! How amazing is that😄

I just love this place. The sign in desk is so very cozy. There were about six of us trying to sit on those 2 chairs so I got to meet them, quite well, wink wink. Then there’s the shower right next to the toilet. The most time efficient shower and poop ever, all at once. Great for business people with the runs. I saw my laundry drying next door, just over the fence, very reassuring. Finally, that spa and the two ladies that occupy it, just wonderful. Why they don’t wrinkle is beyond me.

Greenheart hotel is a stylish and atmospheric place for your stay in Paramaribo. A Villa Kakelbont, built from the ground up by owner Yayo - a project of almost 10 years. Robust tropical hardwood, the best materials. There is no nail or screw to be found in the main construction, all timber constructions are fixed with 'pen-hole' connections. Anyone looking for peace, comfort, atmosphere and small scale in the beautiful historic center of Paramaribo will feel at home here. Small families, adventurers, traveling couples, single travelers, pensioners, city trippers, and also the business woman / man can go here. There is a nice backyard pool , and a good in house restaurant with friendly staff.
