Hotel Palacio is located in Paramaribo, Suriname. It stands in the 'Wooden City' or the UNESCO World Heritage site where most of the colonial buildings are preserved. The outside is old Dutch colonial but the inside is very modern. The rooms are perfect and comfortable. There is a sitting area in the room where you can eat and a desk for work if you need it. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for visitors. The bathroom is beautiful with great water pressure. I stayed for 7 days and the price was reasonable compared to other places. There is an on-site dining room where you can order meals if you choose. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of national monuments. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is a Republic Bank Branch and ATM next door. However, you can pay the hotel with any major credit card. I would definitely visit again.

This place is great. Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet. And great A/C, and a great in-room fridge. The staff knows all about the city and can give useful recommendations. The wifi can be a bit slow at times but everything else could not be better.

The Palacio is located in the heart of the UNESCO listed inner city of Paramaribo. We picked the hotel due to reviews and location, which were indeed good. But we were especially impressed with the service . Rochelle, Ariella and Barbara went above the call. In addition to Swift and efficient email replies on matters like transfers, they additionally helps us organise a surprise birthday for one of our group. It would not have been possible without them, and I’m sure it’s not in their job description. Our itinerary meant we checked in and checked out of the hotel multiple times, and they let us store our luggage securely which was a great help to avoid having to carry everything to everywhere we went in Suriname . Highly recommend the palacio.
