We had an amazing experience at the hanthana house. The private apartments are very spacious and clean. Great location too. Highly Recommended for a quiet stay away from the hustle of the city. The hotel has a strict policy which states all guests should maintain a quiet environment after 10 PM so you won't be disturbed at all. The landlord is also very hospitable and took care of all our needs.

This is such a wonderful hotel. The rooms are big and very clean and nice. It’s on top of a hill with a really nice view. But the best is the amazing welcome and hospitality from the hotel owner, who arranges everything for you and is very knowledgeable about places to visit. He and his wife makes you feel like at home. The food was also very very tasty and homemade. We were sorry that we only had one night there.

Beautifully finished place in the hills of Kandy. It is a familly run guest house and you get a very personal touch and feel at home right away. The hosts were very helpful and even prepared us breakfast for our 6am departure! We spent 3 nights here and really recommend it.

The view of the room is nice But the location is very far around 1 hour to reach city so if you want to go around and explore and come for sleep only this is not the best option as it takes long time to reach and the road on the mountain its really dark at night The biggest issue was the sound proof there is no at all, especially the windows. You can hear the wind very loud. Another issue is that the floor is so slippery in the room, not kids' safe. We requested a blanket as there was no duvet in the room, but it was dirty and had hair on it, so we couldn't use it. The room called the apartment has no privacy at all. it's just 2 rooms in between there is seeting erea, and anyone can pass to it, no door locking the apartment! The breakfast was good. The egg was fresh. The bathroom was clean and nice.

It is not always the ambience and price of property but helpful and friendly attitude does matter. We were going to hanthana house for the very first time and unfortunately our bus had some breakdown. It was late in the night and we were stuck, but the owner of the property Mr. Pathi Rana contacted us and as he came to know, he brought his own vehicles to pick all of us ten people and our luggage in tuktuk. The road to the property is like rollercoaster ride and picturesque . The property is excellent, clean, well managed and quite spacious. The entire ambience gives you a feeling of being in luxurious palace. The doors are mostly of glass letting lot of natural light come in. As located on hill top, it is so windy that you will love to spend your time in lobby or balcony. The vegetarian food we requested was great and I must say, they tried their best to prepare daal tadka, bitter gourd and aubergine. The morning breakfast was awesome. The bathrooms were clean and had running cold and hot water shower. The rooms were large, spacious,with beds having nets. There was a small pantry where you can cook limited things of your choice.
