Excellent, no-frills hotel in a great location. Right next to bus and tram stops if you don't want a long walk along Princes Street. Breakfast was good, with decent vegetarian cooked options. We stayed in a deluxe double room that was reasonably priced. The room was spacious with a big shower. Missed having a bath, but not a big issue for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were allowed to leave our bags before we checked in, and after checking out, which extended our stay in Edinburgh nicely. Didn't sample the bar at night but will do so next time as it looked cosy. The area is relatively quiet at night and we weren't disturbed by street noise. There are some good independent cafes and shops nearby. Haymarket train station is just a few minutes away on foot; really handy. Overall, we loved it stay and will be back. The only thing that was missing perhaps was a Do Not Disturb for the door when we were staying in the room during the day. Otherwise, it was all good.

Really lovely hotel in a prime location opposite the train, tram and bus stops, with some excellent places to eat nearby. Friendly staff who are always happy to help. The room was beautifully decorated in a classic style, the massive bed was really comfortable with a nice firm mattress, and it was well heated (perfect for my perpetually too cold girlfriend). The hotel felt quite luxurious despite being incredibly reasonably priced.

The Haymarket hotel is conveniently located near train station and city centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Single room I stayed at was comfortable and beautiful. Hotel is very clean and with attention to details. I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service Jasmine provided during my stay at the Haymarket. Her professionalism and attention to detail truly made a positive impression on me, and I felt warmly welcomed from the moment I arrived. Jasmine made my visit a seamless and enjoyable experience. Employees are WONDERFUL. They are very helpful and accommodate all requests. This hotel is very easy to get to from the airport and to the rest of Edinburgh (only a 3 minute walk to the tram/bus stop). We had some issues with our shower drain and the nice woman working reception immediately came to fix it. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants in the area and gave us a fan to use during our stay. Plus they give complimentary drinks with your stay (one drink per person). I will be returning to this hotel the next time I come to Edinburgh :)

I booked the room for a solo travel and the amenities were really good. The room was sufficient for a single person and was cleanly maintained. The location of the hotel is awesome, near the rail station and close to the city centre. The receptionists were polite and helped with bag storage before check-in and after check-out until your train. Overall, the experience of staying at the place was really good.
