First time in Addis, Hera Addis hotel has Great location. The staff were very nice, so polite and knowledgeable (even with the rides giving directions very helpful kind people). The owner/manager is very involved which is really nice to see because you can tell the place has super organized and structured system. HeRa is also very affordable compared to other places near by, very clean with spacious rooms, wide windows that over looks the city. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Addis. We are already planing on visiting and staying at Hera next year.

The room is very noisy. The whole night banging noise disturbs your sleep. Very disappointing. I raised the issue to the customer service and they are not much helpful. The owner was there also and he told me that he is aware of the issue and responded me arrogantly. The shower is not working properly and there is only one towle which is worn out. My plan was to stay for weeks unfortunately due to bad service left early. Not good place to stay.

Stayed here on a layover. Decent rooms and bathroom facilities, although there was a slight smell in the bathroom. Food was not so great. Internet wifi connection was terrible

In short, Ethiopian Airlines should stop booking passengers in this substandard hotel. The hotel is located in an area that can be characterised as a slum town. I tried venturing out once and i was ordered back into the hotel because the area is not safe for visitors. The bed made some loud squeaky sounds and I could hear the same sounds coming from the room above me. Please replace the sheets - they now look terrible. The bathroom is in even worse condition. There was water all over the floor. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The bathroom towels have seen their better days. Before I forget, the food was terrible - I stayed at the hotel for 48 hours and I only enjoyed the 'chicken leg' which was the only tasty meal served during my stay. Otherwise, everything else tasted terrible. Ethiopian Airlines, you can do better than this!
