Best Location to be in. Clean & spacious room. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Big & comfortable bed. City views. Nice and warm lobby. Value for money!

Room booked by our travel agent so we didn't realise that there were better rooms in the hotel. We arrived late and effectively only stayed one night in the room in Sud section of the hotel. The room was really small, nowhere to hang our wet coats (Porto one of the wettest city in S.Europe!) Not a single flat surface to put even a glass on. Had to step out of the bathroom to open shower door! Only one usable electric plug at ground level again with nowhere to put phone. The hotel was no where near full so they could have given us a better room. Ask at reception if you are in Sud, South part of the hotel and if so don't stay! Don't know why a good hotel chain like HF has such poor rooms. On the plus side, very clean and very helpful staff at the desk and bar.

Large, clean, beautiful rooms. Good breakfast. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Superb location, close to good connections to the rest of the city. Good pricing. Cannot say anything negative about the hotel!

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL. I left my suitcase out, and my purse was inside with my money. There was two of us in the room. When we came back our stuff looked misplaced but we thought nothing of it. Our money was stolen. Whoever took the money was strategic enough to take different notes of the money instead of taking all. You can tell this is something that they do very often so be careful. I did not start reading the reviews until this experience, but it shows this is something that happens all of the time. They wait around, and watch when you leave so that they can do what they do best. On my first day, the house keeper asked when we were leaving so that they can clean the room because they do not clean with people inside. I can definitely see why this was done. It is such a shame you come to such a beautiful place and have this sort of encounter. I did not bother to talk to hotel management, because with their level of customer service, I know nothing will be done. On another note, the beds were clean, and the area is nice. Bathroom was not as clean as they were supposed to be. Either way. Be very careful when leaving your stuff behind here. Pay extra attention to your valuables, and if you are going to the town or leaving the hotel; take your money, jewellery, and important stuff with you.

Comfortable hotel away from sights. The hotel is like a typical American hotel.The room was clean. We are a family of 4 and the "double" beds were small, but we are used to those accommodations. The staff at the front desk could smile more. We had looked for hotels in the tourist zone but if we wanted the comfort of this hotel we had to pay more. so we decided to stay away from the sights and walk or use taxis to reach our destinations. Breakfast was pricey but good. This hotel offers parking with an extra fee.
