Hi Chiangmai Hotel

A brand new hotel located at the strategic location in Chiangmai, with comfortable bed and room is clean, hygiene & good services, so i highly recommended ya. There is a self laundry service, and motorcycle rental is just opposite.

Located just about 10-15mins walk from One Nimman, the hotel was newly opened in late 2022, which is evident from the modern design and decorations. There is a small pool by the dinning area. That area is quiet in the afternoon so it won't feel awkward if you go to the pool then. The lift is spacious enough to fit 3 person with a large suitcase each. I like that the staircase lighting is eco-friendly and energy-saving; It switches on only when motion sensors are triggered. The hotel lobby has a refrigerator selling bottled drinks so it's quite convenient; You pay at the receptionist counter. The counter also sells laundry powder which you can use at the laundromat located just next to the lobby in the same building. There is also a small bar just 20m away from the hotel, and a petrol station with convenience store at the main road about 60m away, across the road. As a solo traveller I felt safe walking down the side road leading to the hotel at night. The road was properly lit. The room was spacious and sparkling clean. I like that when all the lights in the room are switched on, the room is brighty lit. The toilet mirror is cleaned properly (no water marks) and has an ambience light function which can shine white or yellow light along the rim of the mirror when switched on - perfect for anyone putting on makeup. In the shower area, there is not just a showerhead but also a rain shower option! I stayed at the second floor and the water pressure was good. Air-con worked well and cooled the room quickly within about 5 mins. Room amenities include: bedroom slippers, umbrellas, hairdryer, safe deposit box, hangers, flask, cups, spoons, refrigerator, a large flat screen TV, at least 6 power sockets, shower capx, cotton buds, dental kit, sanitary bag, body and hand towels. It's either that the area was really quiet, or that the room's soundproofing was good (or maybe both!) because I had a great night's rest despite staying near ground floor. The bed was comfortable and the linen fresh and soft. I love the room so much I wish I could stay another night! It felt like the people who designed the room had put themselves in the shoes of the traveller to ensure we enjoyed the stay and had all we needed in the room. I wasn't expecting this from a small hotel in Chiangmai because I've stayed at international chain 3-star hotels in Bangkok and Hi Chiangmai wins those hands down. The only one improvement on my wish-list is for the bathroom to have a clothes hook perhaps behind the door. I didn't make use of any service during my stay, but the check-in and check-out was smooth. The staff manning the receptionist counter was proficient in English. Also, I had came to stay at this hotel because of a recommendation from my favourite celebrity, Mr Tae Darvid (nonetheless this review is objective, unbiased and reflective of my stay at the hotel). And so, I was going around "checking in" and taking photos at public areas in the hotel where he visited, including asking the staff to help take a photo for me with the hotel logo. The staff acceded to my unusual request without giving me a strange look. For that, I'm giving the service 5 stars! Highly recommend this hotel to my fellow travellers to Chiangmai.
