Coleen and Cecil are magnificent hosts. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast is fantastic. They have a vast knowledge of the area and make really good recommendations from taxi service to tours and eating houses. This is one of the nicest places I have stayed at. I really recommend a visit if you are in the Knysna area.

We were greeted by Colleen & Cyril - professional in their service and warm hospitality... very friendly hosts who have a wealth of knowledge to share, not only of Knysna , but also other parts of South Africa. They recommended close by eateries, local attractions & sights to enjoy on our drive towards Cape Town. The downtown and Waterfront area is within walking distance. Our upgraded room was clean comfortable (modern en suite bathroom), with a picturesque view overlooking the Lagoon. We have never used an in room mini bar, but HideAway Guest House’s was so reasonable we couldn’t resist. A very nice touch is that guests have the option of having their breakfast served on their veranda or in the dining room. Wifi connection was excellent, on site secure parking & the pool looked enticing. Hide Away as a whole is very spacious - with chance to relax on lounge chairs by the pool or on the upper level. This is an excellent location & accommodation especially if you are planning a longer visit. We stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks Colleen & Cyril for your hospitality.

I know my review is a bit late - we have stayed twice at your accommodation and have been super happy with both stays. We had a warm welcome after a long drive. The rooms are lovely and clean and beautifully furnished and the view is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside breakfast. Thank you. We will certainly stay here again if we are ever in the area. We hope that you haven't been affected by the fires! Tony & Terry
