Nice clean place with friendly reception. Comfy rooms. Great location in downtown Davis. Plenty of entertainment around. There was a spot or two of blood stain on the sheets but all else was quite proper. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. Reasonably priced for the area. I'd recommend buying through a 3rd party if you're thrifty like myself. I saved about $50 for the night

Our family booked five rooms in Davis at this property to attend my father's memorial service at the Sacramento Valley Veterans Cemetery. I chose this Hilton Garden Inn based on location and previous experience with other Hilton Garden Inn properties. This location was such a disappointment. The common area was worn and dirty. Carpets and upholstery were soiled. The staff was very helpful and professional, but the property is not managed well. We checked into our rooms, which were all larger balcony rooms. Our room was well used, fairly clean, with the exception of the bathroom. The shower was gross. The lotion bottle had someone else's grime and makeup on it. The washcloths were gray and worn out. The floors and grout were dirty. The sliding glass door to the balcony was missing the screen door, so we couldn't enjoy the fresh air. The other four rooms had similar issues. One room had no hot water for the shower, empty shampoo, worn-out towels, and the hotel phone didn't work. We paid for breakfast to be included in our rate. However, the first day, the kitchen was out of service. No breakfast or prior notice. My wife said she found black specks in the ice from the third floor ice machine. I'd also mention that the train and traffic noise was an unpleasant surprise. Overall, it was a huge disappointment for our family during a very difficult time. The rooms were not inexpensive, and this property is clearly not what you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn.

My room was spacious but the tile foyer was quite slippery. It had rained. The Internet was down so getting my room was a bit of a hassle. It also made using the pantry for snacks and libations free! All room amenities were good. Breakfast was: eggs, meats, fresh fruit, the regular fare Coffee was great. Front desk seemed more interested with their cell phones and friends visits. It is a college vibe, but made simple questions hard to get noticed for They have a bar and a nice lounge.

I literally cannot say enough nice things about the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn, Davis CA! We came out to see a very sick family member and from the moment we arrived the staff was kind, consoling, and MORE than helpful with each and everything my mother and I needed to make a trip that wasn't fun as comfortable as possible. When our family member passed away two days into our stay they continued to make us feel as welcomed and comfortable as possible. I highly recommend staying here for the kind people and the lovely hotel with great amenities.
