This hotel meets your needs. We were in town for a travel football game, we arrived around 5:30pm and check in was easy. The lobby was pretty and the area where they hosted breakfast was nice, rooms are a bit dated but spacious and clean. Inconsistency with what information was shared at the time of check in, a lot of the team stayed at the hotel and not all of us received the same notice about the rules (no playing ball in the building or even outside and quiet hours). The hotel is conveniently located close to places to eat but the bar in the hotel had a good selection of food, a bit pricey from what friends told us.

It's a gorgeous hotel. Truly. It was nice that when we got there, a gentleman opened the door for us. It made me feel very upscale. The room was beautiful, the decor throughout was fabulous. I liked being theoretically able to walk directly from our room out into the courtyard [it was rainy so i did not, but how romantic?]

Seemed like its glory days may have been a few years ago, but the staff are very welcoming and professional. Wasn't entirely clear to me how costly some stuff was - the breakfast buffet was great, and included an omelette station! But then I saw them handing out bills, turns out it cost $18.99. May have been my fault for not paying close enough attention, but that seemed like a lot for an amenity which used to be included with the price of a room. There were some oddities like the carpet seemed dated, the elevators just went all over randomly (which I found amusing and charming), and the door to my room was slightly askew. But overall, it was still a very nice room, and the people were so nice. The food was quite good - excellent burger. Drinks were so expensive. But I'd still go back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint is that I wanted to stay longer. Corliss checked us in at the front desk after a long trip with lots of traffic. I literally felt like my Mom was at the front desk ready and willing to take care of whatever I needed. We had to leave early the next morning but the breakfast buffet looked incredible!! Next time I plan to work in extra time to indulge in all of the amenities they provide. I highly recommend!!
