Walking in the hotel i instantly thought it looked nice, felt welcoming, the main areas were well kept. I discovered my room door lock wasn’t working properly however Angelique (the front desk manager) came up personally to help me. She literally took the door lock apart to fix it, she charged it, etc to try getting it to work. She ended up having to move us to another suite where I discovered the room wasn’t cleaned. She was unaware and already doing 10 other jobs and being in business I know how that can be. She & another lady at the front who worked at night (I feel bad I forgot her name) was very apologetic, accommodating, pleasant and professional. The hotel staff was nice. I love how they welcomed my/your family. I love that they have a restaurant, bar, indoor pool, cozy fire pit area, located in a great location. Just do better with cleanliness of the rooms, shampoo the carpets and room furniture and a it’s 9 for me.

Good: My room was clean and modern, as was the hotel. The price was very competitive for the area, and the location was convenient and not difficult to access; there is at least one restaurant within walking distance, as well as a excellent bookstore. Bad: The smell of marijuana smoke in the hallways was annoying; they need better enforcement of their non-smoking policy. As with many "higher end" hotel, breakfast isn't free, which is disappointing. Overall, it was a good deal for the location and the money, but more enforcement of the no smoking policy is needed.

The carpeting and furniture need a really good cleaning. Location is great; staff were very good. There was an incident about a week ago when I stayed and the lobby was filled with Delaware State Police, which left me uncomfortable. For this reason and the carpeting being very dirty, I don’t expect to return.

Katie at the front desk was so sweet and wonderful. She was always there to answer all our questions, she called and checked in on us to see if the room was to our liking when got all unpacked. The rooms were a great size, very clean, indoor pool, was able to walk to get breakfast, lunch, and dinner a few times. Everything else we wanted was never more than a 10 minute drive away.
