We stayed here for two weeks during the summer and it was terrific. Maid service was excellent along with the front desk. There were also many Eastern and Western styled choices for breakfast. We were also happy that it was conveniently located close to Tangzhen subway station. Highly recommended!

As of October 2019, this Holiday Inn Express feels very new and fresh. I was impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the place. The staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly, and their level of English surpassed my expectations. As a Platinum member, I was given a nice room upgrade and a welcome gift with snacks inside. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, and everything worked well. IHG is taking impressive steps to reduce single-use plastic waste, so they provide bottles of shampoo, soap, etc. that are meant to stay in the room. I support this 100%. The breakfast room was a bit crazy with dozens of hungry families milling about, but overall the selections were slightly better than I expected. The food served definitely appeals to a Chinese breakfast ideal, but Westerners can find some basics that will fill them up as well (although no cinnamon rolls like at US Holiday Inn Express hotels). I would gladly stay here again. The taxi ride here (arranged myself at the airport, not by the hotel) around 12 midnight cost just under 100 RMB. The driver tried to charge me 200 and not use the meter. Make sure you tell them to use the meter! I used a translation app to convey that to the driver. He finally agreed.

Hotel : Clean, Smell good, have laundry room with drier and steam iron for free. Kids under 12 stay n eat for free. Location : About 800meters to metro Tangzhen station, nearby have shopping mall, supermarket, KFC, MC Donald. Room : comfy bed, nice room. New hotel.

Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Tangzhen was an awesome place for overnight stay and catching up next day flight at Pudong International Airport. It was clean, quiet, safe, with a lot of shopping and dining options nearby. Very close to subway station with direct access to Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station. The only downside was that the room wasn't spacious.
