When customers service and hospitality is a hotels core function and they can’t meet the minimum standards it’s time for a management change at this hotel. Old and worn facilities. Room smelled like dirty socks. Found a long back hair in my bed and hair in my bathtub. If they miss the big dirt what else do they miss. Checked into the hotel and asked if they would be able to switch credit cards from the original reservation credit card and they refused. I spend 170 nights a year in a hotel and this is the first time I ever had this experience. As a business traveler I am sure you can understand company policy with regards of company card charges and reimbursement but this holiday inn could care less. I usually split my hotel stays between Marriott and IHG brand hotels but this terrible experience answers the question who deserves my business. Upon checking out the front desk wasn’t able to provide me a printed receipt compounding my reimbursement struggles. Thanks Holiday Inn. Where the customer is second to the needs of the hotel staff.

We had a wonderful stay prior to an early flight out. The staff at the front desk were all very welcoming and friendly. We had a twin room with 2 queens and there was still plenty of space for 3 of us and all our luggage. The room had a microwave - which isn't common in hotels. Room was dated but very clean and tidy. Very close to the airport (walking distance but we opted for the shuttle at 3am). Parking available if required. Recommended!!!

Stayed here after a late flight unto Melbourne. Front desk staff were incredibly helpful. The kids were even offered icecream on arrival. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. Also loved the water filling station in the lobby. I'd definitely return

We booked a night here purely because it was the cheapest room for 3 we could find close to the airport. Being right across the road from the carpark was a bonus as I could return our hire car the night before instead of fiddling around with that early the next morning. We've stayed at the Ibis down the road before and honestly was expecting the same "get what you pay for" experience here. We were completely amazed when we arrived here - the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and had everything we needed, beds are comfy, even the instant coffee in the kitchenette is a decent brand rather than blend 43 or Int roast. Surprisingly quiet considering the age of the building and its location. We all had a great nights sleep before heading to the airport on the courtesy coach. I think the icing on the cake was how thrilled my daughter was with her free ice cream while we were checking in too. Could not fault a thing, and will definitely stay here on future trips.
