Room was clean and appointed well enough for a short stay. It is very close to the airport and transport options, but quiet. Don't expect any bells and whistles, but if you need a comfortable bed to sleep on a layover or to be near the airport for an early morning flight, it's reasonably priced and fits the bill.

A mixed bag. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, the location is within 10-15 walk from the terminals. But the room was really small, we had to move sideways near the bed and carry luggage over the bed since there is not enough room to roll it around. Bathroom was also tiny. We originally booked 3 stays since we used JetStar for multiple trips and were flying in at night and leaving early to a different destination. But since my wife really didn't like it, after the first stay we ended up booking a different hotel that had a normal sized room and bathroom about 3 km from the airport with a complimentary shuttle for about the same price . My wife was much happier.

Terrible value. Only redeeming quality is “fine” service late at night (unexpected layover). Absolute rort for the quality of the room. Thank god Virgin is likely to pay for it. I’d only recommend this place if it’s a last resort, honestly though, better value is spending the night in the airport.

I have booked Ibis budget before in Paris. The experience was awful and I thought that in Melbourne it wouldn't be as bad. How surprised I was. The price was stupidly high for the stay in a micro apartment. I've struck my head and elbow multiple times during the stay. The bathroom was tiny, and you had to close the doors, otherwise the steam would trigger the fire alarm, and that sets you back by 1000$. What a joke. Also, it wasn't so close from the domestic airport terminal, roughly a 15-20 min walk with mediocre at best signs pointing towards the premises. Staff was friendly and the room was clean, can't deny that. Being a former seafarer, even on worst ships I've been I still had better accomodation than that. Totally not worth the price.
