We booked this for a quick weekend trip with family. If you don’t have kids this place is NOT for you. It was soooo loud with kids running around constantly and getting everything wet in the lobby with their swimsuits. On top of that our room wasn’t very clean, had to ask for a new comforter because it was stained, they gave us a thin blanket as a replacement. Multiple things didn’t function properly in our room, the TV, coffee maker and some outlets. Oh yeah and our room card stopped working after one day of being there, that was an easy fix at least. On top of that, the room price may seem reasonable but their damage fee ($100 a person) and parking made up for the reasonable room price. The only saving grace here was the location, there were a few restaurants and bars in walking distance plus a couple venues if you were going to a concert.

We checked into the Holiday Inn-Downtown Omaha for a one night stay on January 15, 2024 so we could take my 2 year old to the water park there. Upon entering our room, it was very noticeably dirty and within a few minutes, my daughter found two large white beads on the chair in the room and put them in her mouth. I look around and find more beads and what appear to be pills on the floor then lift up the cushion and there are multiple different pills and more beads. I immediately go to the front desk and show them the beads and pictures of the state of the room and was told there was no one on staff that could switch me rooms. They couldn't even make me another key because they normally "didn't work at that location". So I chat with IHG on the computer in the lobby and they open a case number for me and say they'll be in touch. Meanwhile, we clean the room like it should have been done in the first place because we have no other options at this time. We go to the restaurant in the building and after we order, we are told that they have no way of pulling up our dining credit that we paid for and have to pay full price for our meal that was supposed to be included. We go to check out in the morning and still no call back from management or IHG. I talk to Christine who is apparently the manager and show her the pictures and explain what happened. Shenapologizes and offers me 15,000 rewards credits and my food credit to use at a later time. I tell her I will not use either of them and I'd really just like a refund. She tells me she cannot access the billing and IHG would have to handle it. I call IHG after never receiving a call back and am told that only the hotel can refund my money and offered 5,000 points which I still have no use for. The hotel manager will now no longer answer my phone calls after once again passing the buck to IHG who say the hotel has to refund me. I just want my money back.

STAY AWAY!!! Went with my bf with the intention to relax and swim. When we arrived at hotel it was $20/person, per day to get into pool. Not a pleasant surprise. Absolutely ridiculous to pay $80 to swim 20 minutes each day but we did anyway as that was why we even went to this hotel. Didn’t even realize we were supposed to pay for parking in the hotel’s own parking lot. We were charged $100 deposit/night which we stayed for 2 nights not realizing we’d be charged a second deposit. The water pressure was lacking. We literally left early because we wanted to take a real shower just to feel clean. The breakfast is $15/person. The vending machine was $4/snack. There was dirt and someone else’s cup under our bed. Some of the staff was nice one second then weird the next. The maintenance guy was the best part of the staff along with the cleaning ladies. I used to love this place but after they changed, it’s awful. I will never go back!!

Very clean very quiet. For the most part a super nice hotel. Staff we're friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and spacious. Breakfast was at the attached burger place. There were only two things that made it four star. The price to go swimming is high and we had cleaning staff knock on our door four times in the morning despite having a do not disturb sign up.

The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, updated, and clean. Our room was great, the beds were comfy, and the nice toiletries were a big bonus as I had forgotten it all. I had interactions with 3 different front desk people. The afternoon and overnight staff were fantastic. Always helpful and polite. I was unable to get an actual receipt needed for my work as the morning lady said she couldn't give me any kind of itemized receipt and it would be emailed (it has not been). The one thing that actually ruined the hotel in my eyes is the 20$ per person, PER DAY charge they make you pay for the pool. Absolutely insane. Generally I'll swim a bit before bed and then in the morning but $40 for 20 minutes of swimming?! After you've already paid to park there and to sleep there is absurd. Also $4 tiny chip bags from vending if your snacky 😳 So, if you have no intention of swimming, I absolutely recommend it. I would never go there with kids or if I really wanted to swim. So many better places to go that don't nickel and dime you to death.
