I initially chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of my relative's apartment and therefore the most convenient. However, I was so impressed at what I got for the price, I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit PLUS, anytime I return to Europe I will check to see if a Niu hotel is available at my destination. The room was perfect, the service fantastic, and I added on breakfast for each day of my stay -- totally worth it! It's very close to public transit (which is excellent in Hamburg). If you're looking for luxury, you won't find it here. They care too much about the planet to promote overindulgence, and that means a LOT to me. If it means a lot to you, too, choose the Niu Bricks!

The room was good. The staff were great, the drinks as well. The Location was a little far from the city center, but the bus station is near the hotel.

190+ plus € for a night. Absolutely not worth. Why in Germany there are insane price on Hotels. Room was below average size. Bed was ok and matters was good too. I would say it is similar size like Holiday inn but just 100€ extra. Breakfast option is also really limited. Overall it is costly and low on value offering.

Not what we expected unfortunately. Overall its alright, but this Hotel has a lot of small things here and there that made the experience less comfortable: - Parking cost !25€ per night! Its a huge underground garage under the neighbor building, NOT the hotel building. Parking lots are quite far from the hotel´s entrance, you have to walk down the entire street at night, either through an empty garage or the street. - To use the elevator, you have to use your keycard (its usually a security measure), but the staircase does not have this security lock so you can just use the stairs.... that was quite annoying to always pull out your keycard to be able to use the elevator. Why have it, if anyone can use the stairs anyway?? - Room was very small, not much space if you have more than one luggage. The "side table" is a little shelf, not made to work on. - There were NO glasses for water, kettle, little water bottles or quick cheap coffee packs like in any other hotel, which is a minimal standard pretty much everywhere. Also no small fridge. - In the morning I asked the reception for an iron to iron my shirt, they asked for our room number and said someone will bring it to us. We went up, waited a bit and had to go. Thanks for the iron that never came. Couldn't you just provide it at the reception? - There was no toothpaste, make sure to bring your own. - Breakfast, they had no tablets to put several bowls or plates on it, so you had to either fill one plate with all the food or go back and forth to get additional plates. - Location is also not the greatest, not many restaurants or bars nearby. - Sleeping with open window is too noisy because of the street bellow. Like I said, a LOT of small inconvenient things that made our experience less comfortable than it could have been. We visit Hamburg at least once or twice a year and wont stay here again unfortunately.
