The hotel is closer to airport, good views, nice location. However it is dated, popcorn ceilings, squeaky doors, I couldn’t eat the digital key to work. My room door wasn’t just picking it up. The breakfast is ok - it’s a cooked breakfast with scrambled eggs and oatmeal. But no made to order. They also have a happy hour, definitely overrated. Overall I would give it 3 stars. I stayed here because the TRU next door was all booked up.

I would NOT stay here if you want to use the airport shuttle. We have had to use an Uber every time because they LITERALLY do not show up at the airport or leave the hotel on time. We were told we needed to reserve a spot and also that we did NOT need to reserve a spot. We waited over an hour at the airport for a ride and I had to call multiple times and was left on hold for 15+ minutes! I can recognize it's a busy hotel, but it's not the busiest hotel and also not the only hotel that offers shuttles - so get it figured out!! We saw the same shuttle buses from different hotels 3-4 times before this one ever showed up. This hotel shuttle didn't even stop at the hotel bus lane at the airport - they just kept driving. No apologies no nothing. Terrible terrible terrible service!!! Rooms were nice, spacious, beds pretty comfortable, and nice hot water. Breakfast okay. But I would NEVER stay here again for the terrible service. Also, elevators don't work and staff ignore you when you tell them. Didn't even look up from her phone when another guest was talking to her. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Find a different hotel.

Convenient place to stay in a business trip or for easy airport access. It’s 8 minutes far from airport and has shuttle for free. Pretty good location for restaurants and highways access. Comfortable and practical kitchen in the room. If you have the chance to consider breakfast, don’t hesitate! Because is delicious! Recommended!

Homewood Suites Miami-Blue Lagoon is well situated for many of my business trips. I hadn’t stayed in this property for more than a year because it had really become run down. They recently underwent a renovation, which was long overdue, but the property itself is back up to par. Everything is very clean and the decor is updated. Unfortunately, the property still has not returned to pre-Covid amenities. They continue to restrict their evening managers reception to only Wednesday evenings, and the rest of the nights they have turned the wine and beer into a profit making center where you can purchase a card with which you can buy wine and beer by the glass instead. If you want housekeeping in your room, you have to request it 24 hours in advance. Additionally, the front desk continues to be understaffed. My colleague and I arrived at 4:30 PM on a Monday to check in and there was quickly a line formed behind us with five different guest arrivals, all awaiting to check in with only one front desk clerk and a second clerk showed up only after about 20 minutes of the line getting longer and longer behind us. The property has reverted to utilizing a third-party company to pay for overnight parking of vehicles without which your car will be towed. Unfortunately, the front desk clerk did not advise us of this when we checked in which necessitated a trip back to the car to get the information needed to pay for parking utilizing the third party company’s QR code at the front desk. Considering the number of Hilton properties in this area, I think I’m going to return to the alternatives, until they finally get their act together with service.
