DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center

The hotel was excellent and it smells really good. The room was clean and exceptionally well-located. They also offer a shuttle service to and from the hotel, which is a significant advantage. The only issue I encountered was being assigned a connecting room. When traveling alone, this is not the ideal room assignment for ensuring a guest's sense of security.

Probably my worst experience at any hotel ever especially being part of the Hilton brand I expected a lot more. The room I initially checked into was filthy. It was past midnight when I BBC he led I’m so no housekeeping was available so front desk lady gave me some Clorox wipes to clean my shower. There was also a spit glob on the side table and stains on the sheets. I was mortified. She said she would have housekeeping service the room in the morning. I left to my dr appt in the morning and returned at 1pm. The room had not been serviced. I went down to front desk and asked to speak with a manager. Victor the front desk clerk refused to let me talk to manager and asked me to allow him to assist instead. I told him tue issue and he switched us rooms. He personally brought the keys for the new room to us and I showed him everything and he said he would never sleep in a bed that had stains like that and he would be updating the housekeeping supervisor of this . The room was slightly cleaner but the shower I’m this room would not drain so had standing water in tue shower. The chair had a damaged arm that was all torn apart and the sheets in this room were stained with what looked to be blood as well. We requested some blankets and removed the sheets and decided to go to the pool and hottub. The hottub was not functioning. I asked front desk how to turn it on and sale guy victor told me it wouldn’t be working again during our stay. He did offer to give me a $30 food and beverage credit for the troubles. However the credit was not on my bill. We checked out the next day and upon return home I attempted to reach out to management several times to bring awareness to this situation. No one at the property would allow me to speak with management so I contacted Hilton corporate and they offered me 1 free night stay at a double tree in the future. I would never go back to this location and really feel this property need immediate attention. And others should be aware before booking with them. I was refused the right to speak with Managment and refused my refund request for the less than satisfactory stay. With Covid being one of todays worries I was very upset my self and my sons health was put at risk in more than one filthy room with bodily fluids.
