Out of all the hotels I stayed in during a multi-city trip this fall (all of which were good), Hostal House was easily the best. Check-in was simple and quick, the location offers convenient access to the metro, buses, and food/drink, and the staff were friendly and easy to reach with any questions. But what really stood out about Hostal House was how nice the interior is. The bed was firm and supportive, the shower spacious and powerful, and the relative quietude of the place was impressive, given what a busy city Barcelona is. The communal kitchen with free coffee was a nice surprise too, and I enjoyed having my coffee in the little interior courtyard each morning (my room was on the ground floor, next to the courtyard) before heading out and exploring the city.

It was an amazing experience, for the price we paid, we could not ask for more. Clean rooms, clean kitchen, clean toilets… free wifi, free snacks and free lockers you can use for 24 hours after you do check-out. 8 minutes to metro, 4 minutes to train by walking. When we come back again, we will prefer them again.

Great value for cost. Room was little, but comfortable with all necessary equipment, as small fridge,TV, WiFi, bathroom was equipped with towels, hair dryer, shower gel etc. The room and bathroom were clean and there was also everyday cleaning service. It was really a pleasant stay. I can recommend. Also the connectivity to metro and bus is good.

Wonderful and cozy little hostel in a peaceful residental area of Sants. Metro station was less than a 10 minute walk away, to the train station it took around 15 minutes by foot. My hostel room was very tidy and nice with a small fridge for food. The terrace outside was just lovely. In the shared kitchen you could get coffee, tea and small pastry snacks for no added cost. The only downside was that in the room there were no thick/dark curtains, so it was relatively bright at night. Regradless of that I had a great time and would surely consider staying at this hostel again!
