I don't think this is a hostel. It is most likely a business that rented some apartments and put some bunk beds. The staff was extremely rude (we saw the main worker at the reception having arguments with many guests). We had to wait for a long time and there was no staff at the reception. They did not provide us with all the bed sheets and pillows for the beds. I don't know who had the terrible idea to put a light sensor in the room, so anytime anyone moves, the lights are on, which basically means the lights were always on and many of us could not sleep properly. There was no proper airconditioning in the room and the room was extremely hot (38C summer in Spain, unbearable!). Another staff shouted at me because apparently, I was using their work space (a "reception desk" that was empty for most of our stay and I never saw any staff working there). Having been traveling and using many hostels all over the world, I can definitely say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. If you can, avoid this at all costs. We will never come back! The only good think was the location (although I agree it is not the safest) and the shower, which I think is not enough to make me come back.

Mega antisocial for a hostel. My plane was delayed past check in time, so my friend came extra before check in ended with all of my booking confirmations and passport id documents and the receptionist didn’t allow her to check in for me and during which was incredibly rude. Alejandro was the only receptionist that we came into contact with that was willing to help and seemed like a decent human being. The others were either unwelcoming or down right rude. Do not recommend!

This place has really poor conditions and terrible hygiene. The people staying here are not necessarily travellers. I definitely do not recommend staying at this hostel at all. Not even standard or basic hygiene provided. Staff was polite but that is not enough for us to stay at a dirty place. If you read this comment think twice about booking at this hostel. We were able to only get 50% refund when we should have received 100% due to the conditions of this place. This is not normal. What I would say, I do agree with some of the reviews from here. The response from the staff was “you get what you paid for”. Don’t waste your money and stay somewhere else that looks safer, cleaner, better service and better conditions if you want to enjoy your stay in Madrid. If I could, I would give 0 stars.

When I checked in, they led me to another building, which is not where the Google map shows. The rooms and beds are clean and tidy, so it was not too bad. But there is no kitchen for self-cooking (which means you save money for accomodation, but spend more eating out). The lights in the rooms turn on and off late at night when someone go to toilet because they use sensors, quite unnecessary. They only let you check in at 15:00, someone in the hostel had to wait on the street for hours. To put the luggage after you check out, they charge you €1 for an hour (this is my first time to encounter this). The staff is not bad or unfriendly. The general experience is that, you can't say bad, but not pleasant. You can surely can pay a bit more to find a hostel where you feel really happy.
