We had a family room that was really nice and were very happy here. The decor is lovely, shower was fab and location is excellent. I wouldn’t bother spending the 19 euros on the breakfast which is completely over priced given we hardly had anything and was just a smallish buffet. They also charged full price for kids so £100 for 5 people! Close by are amazing places for breakfast for half the price and much nicer atmosphere. A great hotel though despite this

It was our first accommodation in Spain to celebrate our anniversary. They took great care of our convenience, and the staff were friendly. The service is excellent and the breakfast is truly outstanding! Breakfast is the best! Conveniently located in the center of Barcelona, it is easy to get around. Highly recommended!

We was for a few Days ins Bcn. It was amazing from Breakfast to the Room. Perfect Hotel near to the City and Fish Markets. Absolutly the best Receptionist i ever had till now. TLDR: Incredibly noisy, so sleep may pass you by. Well placed in Barcelona. Modern decor. Overpriced in comparison to other hotels and/or private rental. Three star rating about right. My partner and I have just returned from a stay at the Acta Splendid as we returned to visit one of our favourite cities. We would usually use an AirBnB but on this occasion opted for a hotel so as to not worry about the check-in, servicing the room etc. Firstly, the hotel is well placed close to amenities, tourist areas and has a helping of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops and takeaways nearby. The Universitat metro station is just around the corner. On arrival, we were pleased with the modernity of the decor of the hotel and the common areas and room well presented. The room was small but large enough for the two of us and came with a safe, TV, kettle and variety of teas and coffee, and decent toiletries in the bathroom. On the other hand, this might be the noisiest hotel on the planet. The walls and windows may as well be made of paper — they are clearly in need of some extensive audio insulation. You can hear everything from the corridors, nearby rooms and the noisy street outside. Trust me, this is not an exaggeration. The bathroom was flooded each time we showered due to an ill-fitting shower screen and the toilet tank decided to stop filling, to which we were told to use the shared toilet in the restaurant area. The staff of the front desk seem either undertrained or generally unhappy to be there. For the price of almost 600 euros for a three night stay (not including breakfast), I would say it's rather overpriced and better value for money may have been found elsewhere.
