This is a well maintained 19th-century palace style hotel that is located in a fairly quiet and safe road, just a few minutes walk away from the main railway station. And less than 20 minutes walk from the main city centre sights. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Top quiet location near the SMN station. Top service, clean, classy and bright airy rooms. We got the one (we didn’t ask) I think for reduced mobility guests as there were differences compared to a regular hotel bathroom. Anyway, great value for the money. Only one suggestion, if you don’t mind— to replace the vase/cactus on the table. It literally looks like there’s some dog p**/etc in it. It would be nice if it’s replaced with a small green plant even not a flowering plant but just not this one. It kinda bothered us while I was having breakfast. ☺️☺️☺️

I am a returned customer since my last holiday in Florence 9 years ago. A lot have changed, beautifully renovated. Obviously, the owner has done a great job in turning this into a nice boutique hotel. Everything was great, except marred by the shower head in our Room #4. Simply unadjustable and spins like crazy, spraying water all over the bathroom, useless for those who want to shower with free hands. Adding more to my disappointment was the wifi signal quality in this particular room, simply terrible. Based on how beautifully renovated this hotel is, along with its amenities, I wish I could have given a 5-star ratings, but those two matters really spoiled my stay here.

Do yourself a favor and never stay at this hotel. When we complained about treatment by hotel staff, the general manager, Mr. Mr. Andrea Vagniluca, who has been managing this dilapidated hotel for 18 years, called us liars. Why would we lie about negative treatment at a hotel? Never, ever stay at this hotel and patronize this business. Their professionalism is rock bottom.

When we booked the room, we noted that we needed a high-floor room, and the hotel gave me a ground-floor room. Just 15 meters from the reception. And when I was out, they entered my room without my permission, and I came back at night to find that someone had come in. The next morning around 9.30, while I was sleeping, someone broke into my room again without permission. This scares us. Staying in this hotel is a very disgusting experience, rude staff, no attention to the privacy of guests. The security score is 0. As for other advantages, I don't want to talk about them, because they are what you should have in a 4-star hotel, but safety is always the priority when guests choose a hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all, blacklisted.
