Coming into San José from the beauty and relaxation of the jungles and beaches was a bad idea; the friendly laid back atmosphere becomes a torrent of traffic, loud man-made noises, and not so welcoming locals. So that in mind might have affected this review: We got to the hotel earlier than check-in time. No place to park so they squeezed us on the side walk and told us we can park in the garage at night. Not a sentence of English from receptionist and my Spanish wasn't tailored for hotel conversation. There's a lingering combination of smells that was unpleasant. No air condition and no windows for our rooms. Let's just say one of my party members decided to buy the same night at a different hotel. The neighborhood wasn't completely horrifying in the day but a couple of strip clubs nearby and overall it gave vibes it wasn't the most comfortable for foreigners. If you're looking for accessibility, it's not too far of a walk from Central Market (W) and the Jade Museum (E) but beyond location it's entirely your preference.

Surprisingly spacious, clean, and comfortable, staff fantastic. Easy walk into the commercial area and a few restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Downside is rooms are not very sound proof so all conversations can be heard. Would stay here again

Worst place to Stay. One of the owners, the lady scammed my credit card and charge it when I was suppose to pay at hotel and she took my cash and charge my card 2 days before getting there. I have being try to get my money back and even went there for 4 day to resolve is and now they don't even answer my calls, thinking that it will go away, but its not. Hotel has mold issue throughout my stay and not healthy to sleep in due to no proper ventilation. Hotel Amo'n Real I want my $$$ back that your Hotel stole from me.

The hotel is situated in an amazing location within walking distance to some of San Jose's major attractions and best neighbourhoods for eating and drinking. The hotel itself is incredible inside, filled with wonderful plants draping from the balconies, lit up by a huge sky light. It didn't say on the booking website but there is also secure underground parking if you have a car. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for the night. The owner was also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
