We were in this hotel at Christmas, it was our third trip here. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but this was not disturbing. Our room was still comfortable and well-equipped, the minibar was replenished daily. A new sauna was built on the 3rd floor and both pools were heated. The breakfast is fantastic, the staff is kind and friendly. After the renovation, the hotel will be even better, and whenever we come to Barcelona, we will only stay here.

We had a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom with shower. Overall, the decor was well used. We also had a small balcony but the view was less than impressive although we could see the sea. The room had a tv and hi-fi system and a small fridge. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. Good cleanliness throughout except the hallway outside the rooms looked like it needed a good vacuuming. Staff seemed helpful and friendly with no complaints there. We found the room price reasonable. The hotel is in a good location and right next to the metro and tram.

Check in experience could be improved by explaining to guests where things are, that the pool is closed etc The rooms are a good size and clean. The sound insulation is not good, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The concerts nearby are loud and you can hear your neighbours. The hotel was under construction when I was there and it didn't feel very welcoming.
