Splendid scenery, spacious clean room full of light, sweet balcony, water stream nearby creates a chill atmosphere. Everything was comfortable, easy and fun. Thomas at the front desk welcomed us in the friendliest manner, explained everything clearly and was really kind. He suggested some great ideas about the area as we consulted with him regarding our stay. The restaurant is very big and offers an extremely rich buffet both at breakfast and at dinner with lots of options for all diets. The spa was a real treat, calming, relaxing and enjoyable. It was clean, there were fruit, water glasses, plenty of towels and awesome facilities. Decent size swimming pool, adults only zone in addition to the family zone, comfortable showers and dressing rooms. Bikes outside are free to borrow and well maintained. We got a nice round trip around the lake and were happy to relax at the spa afternoon. We had a delightful time at Der Waldhof and hope to come back some day. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay :)

Lovely hotel and exceeded our expectations! We stayed here for one week during a ski trip. The hotel is rather big and contains of several buildings, so we stayed in the building across the street from the main building. However, it’s all connected underground. Friendly staff, good breakfast with everything you need. Every night there was a buffet, well prepared. The hotel has a rather large spa area, both families as well as adults. Saunas, a large swimming pool, indoors and outdoors. All in all, this was a nice surprise. Also, for skiing the hotel provides a ski-in, ski-out option. Can definitely see myself staying here again!

This was a fabulous hotel in terms of location and room comfort. The swimming and Sauna facilities were a great place to relax and unwind after a day's skiing. The half board offering was better than average, but was a little monotonous.

Not a real ski in/ski out, piste runs just nearby but to get to it or from it you need to take skis off, climbing the hill to it is dangerous, icey, steep. The nearest ski lift is mad busy, so again location not so handy. The ski bus stop is about 50meters down, so not too bad. Food was fine, standard breakfast, good evening buffet varied options, plenty of salads, substantial snacks from 3 to 5pm. Bizarrely no water was available on tap, nor it was left on the tables at the start of our stay, had to ask for it. Felt to me like hotel was looking to see first which customers were willing to pay for bottled water instead of getting them a free tap water jars. Tap water by the way tasted good comparing to other countries/places. Big letdown, no tea was made available after breakfast, not even during the snack time. No water was available to fill in the glasses neither at this time. Rooms were very stuffy (no proper window ventilation option) , decor was basic, quite bare and boring, storage space was not very convenient nor generous, shelves in the wardrobe were not cleaned, they were sticky and dirty. Pillows were not comfy, blankets quite small, matress was OK. Shower was erratic hot and cold, not enough water pressure. Towels were not always replaced, even if taken away. Ski storage space was there to use. But their boot heaters were terrible, they were not drying boots properly, that made them all stinky and gross, boot toes part was damp every morning, I guess because their boot driers were not designed to blow air. Spa was good, good hot saunas, glad they also had no kids spa option. The only miss was cold water plunge thing was not there. Jacuzzis could have been bit larger, they could barely accommodate 2 people.

Rude incompetent untrained waiting staff. Rude arrogant barman who lived up to his Christiano namesake. Food was good but the dining room was more like a feeding frenzy, with lots of screaming out of control children despite it not being the school holidays. It says appropriate dress for dinner, which seemed to include pyjamas, shorts tracksuits and onesies! Didn't bother with the spa area as full of screaming kids ... nothing relaxing about it that's for sure. Lady on reception was rude and unhelpful until I asked her if it was too much trouble to find something out for me the second time I asked. A distinct lack of hand sanitizer in the dining room which should have been on every table as it was buffet service. Chaotic check in and although it was late and after dinner there was a very poor buffet left for late guests which others seemed to think they could eat meaning quite a few people didn't get anything. The room was in the new extension which was large and modern and really nice. Not too noisy (except for children running up and down the corridor on our mezzanine level and the floor below). If you want the traditional Austrian coziness this is definitely not the place to go. If you want a quiet well run hotel without lots of children this is not the place to go. If you like to have your dinner served to you rather than buffet this is not the place to go. We will definitely not be returning.
