Hotel Donaustadt Kagran

More like a hostel than a hotel. The reception is only open from 12 til 8 no help or advice is available outside these hours. Key collection is very complicated out of hours. The rooms are small and very basic. BEWARE OF BIG PROJECT BUILDING WORK NEXT DOOR..WORKMEN MAKING NOISE ON SITE FROM 6.30 AM. Was very annoying...basic continental breakfast is OK. Location is convenient for Metro Kagranplatz is less than 10min walk and then 15 mins to the old town.

It's a hotel with COCKROACHES!! It was one of the WORST hotels that we've ever stayed. We stayed there for two nights and saw TWO COCKROACHES on the first night. Also there was a stain of something like pieces of a dead fly on the wall. P.s. The detail of the picture is written below, but I suspect someone from the hotel did it after I complained them and wrote this review, it was found on the bumper of our car in the hotel's parking on the last morning. It says "idiot." Why did someone know we're not German speaker? We contacted the hotel next morning after seeing cockroaches, requesting for a different room, and they gave us a reply around 17:15 asking us to come back by 19:30 if we want them to change our room for the next night. It was impossible for us to change our plan and come back to the hotel at this late timing, so we ended up staying at the same room. They gave us no apology nor any other solution. The parking was also a problem. It was full when we went back to the hotel, so had to find another space to park in inside the hotel's parking. Then in the next morning we found the note on the bumper of our car saying "idiot". It was put after I wrote this review and the hotel knows our car number, so that I even suspect if they have done that. Because other customers have no reason to dare to do that during their sleep. Another thing is that they first gave us a wrong security code for getting a room key at the post prior to our arriving. It could be possible for us to open the other post, get a wrong key, and stay at someone else's room. This made us question their sense of security and qulity of work.
