Hotel Empress Zoe has a ton of charm. Our room was basic and clean, with a beautiful courtyard. But don’t expect tons of frills. Breakfast was fine and staff are pleasant and helpful. Location is right off some very busy touristy streets - there are restaurants everywhere - but our room was still very quiet. Proximity to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi can’t be beat. But I wouldn’t spend more than 2-3 nights in this area of town.

My boyfriend and I recently spent four enchanting days at this remarkable hotel. The room style was wonderfully unique, unlike any ordinary modern hotel. The captivating ambiance gave us a sense of timeless beauty, filling us with joy. The extraordinary beauty of the garden made our breakfast feel like a forest retreat. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist. The breakfast, prepared by talented chefs, was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend this hotel. It left a lasting impression, and I would gladly return if I visit Istanbul again.

Unfortunately I dont share the enthusiasm for this hotel. It does have a certain charm and the courtyard garden is lovely. However the location is on a very loud, brash and touristy street. Our terrace view was not of the beautiful Bosphorus but a very ugly neon hotel opposite. We choose to stay at Zoe due to the great reviews, and I am just glad it wasn't our first impression of Istanbul as we would have been disappointed. I guess if you have only a couple of nights and need to see the sites close by it might be suitable however I would recommend staying in a different area like the Beyoglu district as we have in the past.

Very bad experience. We were unable to sleep due to the noise and the poor quality of the AC, bed was small and inconfortable. Steps are dangerous. Various species of bugs in the room. The price we paid is a lot lot LOT expensive for what this hotel is. We spent some better nights at an hotel that was 6x less expensive. For this price we were expecting high end experience, the minimum was not here. Very noisy bar and restaurant just un front. Horrible

This is a lovely little hotel, close to all of Istanbul’s main attractions. Our room was large but a little dark however the inner garden made up for it perfectly. The breakfasts were delicious and generous and the staff very kind and helpful. Location is perfect: 3 mins walk to Haya Sophia, the Palace and only a 10 min tram ride from the Grand Bazaar. Great food choices nearby too.
