The Eurotel is basic. & a bit tired, in need of refurbishment. But its centrally located, not far from some of Santiago´s best restaurants and the rooms are clean. The gym is very basic and tired. Niche service is above all helpful although the reception is well, "very Chilean", i.e. not that friendly. However for specific requests e.g. an iron/hair dryer quickly sent to the room when requested. & the housekeeping when it arrived was excellent. The breakfast whilst not elaborate is very good for the price of the hotel, with a very attentive and helpful manageress in the breakfast bar. I was highly conscious of earlier reviews a few years ago about theft, and had no problems in that regard. If you want something simple, clean, centrally located etc.,. Go for this hotel. There is no functioning bar or restaurant, e.g, for business dinners.

I came for three workshops in this hotel, the workshop space was very nice. However I had to leave the hotel a week early because this dishonest housekeeper stole my $200 headphones, she removed the No, do not enter sign from my room door and left chocolates where my headphones had been. The hotel management tried to find a resolution, which included crediting some of my stay, but if you don’t want people stealing from you do not stay here. I did not feel safe afterwards and had to find different accommodations. I read other reviews saying this has happened to other guests and only stayed there because my workshops were held in that building otherwise I would not have booked there. It is unfortunate because otherwise the hotel was nice. Could have had much more friendly front desk staff. Where I am now is much more friendly. I would advise hiring friendly people to make your guests feel welcomed and want to stay.
