Comfy hotel in a wonderful location. Plenty of restaurants to walk to close to a big tram stop. Safe neighborhood, even nights. Staff is friendly, rooms are not bi, but clean. Good hotel for solo or couples traveling. It's a good deal at a reasonable cost

Given this is one of the cheaper hotels in this area (which is crazy because still $150 + a night) I guess you get what you pay for. The drain in the shower was completely clogged so we weren’t able to shower because it was overflowing (and also smelt bad in the bathroom as well.) Otherwise, the room wasn’t terrible. No AC, but there was a fan. Would not recommend this hotel to someone unless you really need a place to stay.

I've stayed here several times recently while in Zurich on business. The location is ideal. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops in walking distance. Plus there's a tram stop 5 minutes away. This is a typical small European hotel. Rooms are not spacious or lavishly furnished. For that there are other choices, but they're far more expensive. Hechtplatz is a good value for the money. Staff have always been friendly and helpful, rooms and hotel very clean. It's a great stay for a solo traveler
