The hotel is part of the Hokke chain, without knowing I chose it the same as the one I stayed in Tokyo. There are many similarities but also quite some differences. The room was small as usual for Japan budget hotels but very clean and perfectly serviced. No breakfast included in the price. There is a three kinds of tea and water dispenser available in the lobby. Also they offer all kinds of toiletries, some quite unusual for a hotel like hair ties, face masks and other things mainly for women. Included in the room were disposable slippers changed daily, sealed tooth brushes and tooth paste, shaving razors and hair brushes. Also daily changed night gowns were available in the room. AC worked perfectly and so did the humidifying machine. In the room there is also a small fridge, a small safe (not laptop size!), kettle and hair dryer. Location wise, the hotel is literately across the Kyoto Station. From the hotel door to the underground entrance leading to the station is like seconds walk. The proximity to Tokyo Station was a big bonus for us because from here is so easy to reach Osaka, Nara, Inari and other places close to Kyoto. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to delay one day our arrival because of a typhoon and they understood and didn't cancel our reservation as other hotels do (we had to pay for the unused night). All in all we were very happy with this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Location: (Rating: 5/5) Situated directly across from Kyoto Station, the hotel provides easy access to the city's major transportation options, including the Shinkansen, local JR trains, subways, and buses. The underground passage, filled with restaurants and shops, offers additional convenience and protection from the elements. Room: (Rating: 4/5) The Double-Room, while small at 140 SF, offers limited space for luggage but boasts cleanliness and modern amenities. The air purifier, compact shower, and bathroom ventilation ensure a comfortable stay. However, the thin walls may result in some noise from neighbouring rooms, and the small window offers no views. Amenities: (Rating: 5/5) The hotel provides all the basic amenities, with the standout feature being the fabric freshener spray that keeps clothes smelling fresh after a day of travel and dining. Coin laundry facilities and a microwave for heating up meals add to the hotel's convenience. Staff: (Rating: 5/5) The polite and friendly staff, although limited in English proficiency, can communicate effectively using simple vocabulary. The room service is highly efficient. Value for Money: (Rating: 5/5) While the room size might seem expensive, the prime location, excellent service, and timing during the Cherry Blossom season justify the price. Recommended For: This hotel is ideal for solo travellers or couples who prioritize location, need essential amenities, and don't plan on spending much time in their room.

Location was perfect. Just next door to Kyoto tower, and across the street from Kyoto train and bus station. The room is perfect for a solo traveler with minimal luggage. Amenities were located on the lobby. Rooms and washrooms were well maintained. There was also a cafe at the main floor that offered a discount if you showed them your room key.
