Such a good experience here! We came in from Seattle and everyone has been so helpful and nice here! The rooms are lovely, with nice heat in the cold storm that hit with really great shampoos/conditioners/body wash/lotion even! I'm a sucker for nice touches like that. Beds are comfy, soft but not too soft to where it kills my lower back. The location has tons of great food/coffee/pastry options and is beautiful at night :)

The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful! Everyone I had an interaction with was great, the people behind the counter, the lady who was cleaning, and the waitress at the restaurant. The room was nice, even though it was a bit small. The restaurant was nice and the food was really good. It's walking distance from fun things to do downtown. I like the way the lobby was decorated. The room I was in had a fridge, but no microwave. There was a microwave I could use in the lobby, however

I’m 100% sure the fire alarms work and felt totally safe in case of an emergency, they even continued to go off hours after what were needed just to politely remind me that they still work, so I had nothing to worry about. I was even able to get a midnight cardio session (15 flights of stairs) and 5am wake up call, free of charge.

DO NOT USE VALET PARKING. We were standing out front and watched the valet steal our car for a joy ride. He peeled out off the lot so fast the car was sideways. If we hadn’t been outside, I can only imagine what they would have done. Hindsight the gas was a 1/4 tank lower then when we dropped it off with valet the first night, so they likely did the same. A gentleman inside stated this has been happening at this hotel. We did not get to speak with manager at hotel, but we reported to Detroit valet authority and will be contacting the people in charge. The Hotel states the valet company isn’t affiliated, but they advertise and offer their services. “They aren’t responsible for theft or damage” so don’t use the $40 valet service unless you’re willing to risk your car being stolen or wrecked. The rooms were ok- weren’t very clean.

Took 15-20 minutes to get a valet ticket. Then it took another 15-20 minute line to check in to our room, which wasn't even ready, so we had to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes, even though I did the app check-in and gave an estimate of when we would be arriving. The manager also seemed to be hiding in the office while his staff was handling the large amount of guests. The room was mostly clean but could have been cleaner. The fridge didn't work (or just was bad). There was no TV menu card to let us know which channels we got. The room only had 2 large towels even though we had 3 guests (and booked a double queen), I think 4 would be the default for a double queen room. The water pressure sucked. The AC/fan was EXTREMELY LOUD and clunking around. We booked with the 2 adult breakfast but got no information at check-in and after all of this hot mess, we didn't want to bother. Had to wait in another 10-minute line just to check out and wait another 15 minutes to receive the car back from valet. You would think for a hotel in Downtown Detroit they'd be more prepared for a sporting event(s), but I guess not.
