CLEAN! Well priced. Terrific location! In the U.S. I’d give it zero stars. But, in Split, it gets FIVE STARS bc it’s one of those tiny European charmers that has everything u need and is extremely well located. It’s quiet. They do a darling little breakfast to get you started on your way. Remember to tip the breakfast lady working her behind off! She’s the one that’ll help you get the most similar American coffee you’ll be getting:-) Oh, be aware you’re lugging luggage up and down a plethora of steps— at any hotel, really. In my room, I had a fridge and terrific air conditioning. Cannot wish for more! And they were truly nice people. Highly recommend Kastel 1700!

Stayed here with my wife whilst visiting Split on holiday. Ana and the team are incredibly helpful, going above and beyond for their guests. The location is fantastic and it is only a short walk from ferries, the bus station and it is in the old town. The room was all we needed, with a comfy bed and great A/C. I would definitely stay here again!
