Terrible service, rude staff. Booked a car to the airport and after confirming multiple times with hotel staff that credit card can be accepted, the driver shows up demanding cash. The water boiler in the room is dirty and even after washing it, the boiled hot water came out filthy. Response to owner: I double checked with you about credit card payment for the car service to which you said the driver prefers cash. After I repeatedly told you credit payment is a must because I do not have cash on hand, you then called the driver and then assured me right there and then that the driver agreed to accepting cash. I even confirmed with you the morning of departure. Then when I met the driver, he said cash only.

Amazing experience and will be back next time! It was confusing at first to find the entrance but service from the front desk was excellent and check in was very seamless. Got a free upgrade to a bigger room which was always appreciated. The room itself was nice and air conditioned, with good amenities. I love how small and intimate the hotel was. Though we did not use the dining room, we thought it was tastefully furnished, felt more like a fancy townhouse than hotel. Of course the central location in a busy city like Rome means it can be pretty noisy at night/morning, but we didn’t mind it as it was inevitable. Maybe get a room facing the inner courtyard instead if such sounds bother you. Overall, the small intimate atmosphere, friendly service and good value for money gives us no hesitation to return back next time we find ourselves in Rome again!

Overall really nice experience. Excellent location. Really close to most of the tourist places. Nice room and service. Friendly staff. We also had breakfast included but not that many options available. Definitely recommend.

I recommend this hotel to: People who is only at the hotel for a few days and therefore don’t have much luggage. People who enjoy staying at a place that looks authentic, with many “vintage” elements and art at every corner. I do not recommend this hotel to: People staying in town for several days and carrying a large suitcase or two. People expecting the usual American hotel style which is much more predictable. My review: When looking for a place for a 2-day stay in Rome we read all the reviews and chose this hotel because of the price and location, unbeatable. We were expecting the tram to make the room vibrate and be noisy, as other reviews had said. We knew that there would not be signs outside the building (this was helpful to know!) and to expect a basic hotel. It was actually much more charming that I expected, and we didn’t have any problem with the noise or any vibrations. I liked the style and the art, and the air-conditioning (so useful in summer in Rome) and the mini fridge and kettle. The staff was very nice with us too, and the location cannot be beaten. The bathroom was very small and also the room, so I was glad we only had cabin-size luggage. But maybe because I am European I actually found it quite homey and would absolutely come back if I have a short visit again. Thank you for hosting us!
