I would probably give this hotel very solid 4 stars based on my experience. I like the way this hotel is decorated in traditional Spanish terracotta shades of red. As you walk in the lobby is impressive makes you feel welcome. The reception staff is extremely caring. The rooms are spacious and generally well equipped but lack the wow factor and have lost their former glory as the hotel aged. The breakfast is generally great but not always consistent, one morning you may have wonderful local figs and the following day none of that. They even offer free sparkling wine for breakfast if you want. Hotel also boats a nice gym, dry sauna and a small swimming pool which is open from 10 am to 10 pm every day. Generally I enjoyed my stay and would probably come back again if the price is right.

Don’t waste your money. This hotel in no way rates 5 stars. The only thing it has is location. Please understand that this hotel is a major tour group hotel, which means a 10 minute wait for coffee when the tour groups descend on the breakfast room and completely devours everything in sight. This morning there wasn’t even a plate available when I tried to get breakfast. Also, we have stayed here 5 days in a junior suite, every day but one I have had to go back down seven floors to get my room key reconfigured. Today, on the elevator down, I met a British couple who just checked in and when they entered their room there were other guests already there. This hotel is maybe2-3 stars at best. If you are going to spend 5 star money for a room, go somewhere else.

Great location very close to Guggenheim museum, walking distance from center, right on the river. The rooms are fairly big, sheets were clean, they give you bathroabs and slippers and all the toiletries you need, including dental kits. Overall, the service was great, the staff were nice and helpful , made dinner reservation for us. Interesting design of the hotel allows for great view from the room.The hotel must have been beautiful at the time when it was built but it needs to be renovated, which is especially visible inside the room.

I stayed in a premium terrace room on floor ten. Nothing short of perfect. Staff were very friendly. Area is perfect too. Tram stop outside. Park next door. 2 minute walk from grand via main Street. The pool and sauna were also excellent. A sauna that's actually properly hot. :) The pool is on the 6th floor and offers lovely views to the hills. There is a shopping centre directly across the street too.. all in all a very nice stay. Image is view of sunset from terrace of room 1019. Sunny on the terrace all afternoon until sunset. Perfect.
