A nice stay in the city centre hotel. Just a 5 minute walk to St Stephens cathedral and well placed to explore the other sites. The rooms are quite and clean and offered a comfortable nights sleep. There was a kettle and enough space for luggage. The breakfast were as you would expect from a established hotel chain. The only comment I would have is that on the 3rd floor there is somewhat stale smell, Im not sure if it used to be the smoking floor in the past but it doesn’t smell fresh for some reason. It is limited to the hallway and room is fine. Other than that a good place to stay and allowed us to check in early as the room was available. They were also helpful as they took a package for us and kept it for our stay so they offered impressive customer service.

Fantastic location; you can walk to the main attractions. Our room was on the second floor, and the WiFi did not work. We talked to reception; they sent someone to fix it, but it never worked properly. On the last day, the hot water did not work for some time in the morning—not ideal in winter.

hotel is very nice, rooms are clean. Location is perfect, not too far from city centre but still in quiet place. Breakfast was good. We also had a comment tour, provided by the mercure hotels for free around the city centre. It was more about the surounding unknown streets. Our tour guide was a very lovely lady! She had a lot of facts about the houses, that se saw! I would recommend this place

The hotel rooms look good now they have been modernised - however the gloss of the room soon faded as the cleaner each day barely cleaned the room. Dirty towels were hung back up, the room was never vacuumed (which in in wintery weather meant the floor was dirty). The heating/air con was very poor, and it was difficult to get the room warm enough with the cold weather outside. In addition to this, we noticed a number of small brown ants crawling over the floor, mainly in the bathroom, but on occasion in the bed also - this was on our final evening before departure so did not report to move rooms as we were preparing to leave anyway. Breakfast had an ok selection but small things let it down, like a bowl filled with expired butter packs, and disorganised staff.
