The Montestella Hotel is beautiful. It has the best location, it's in passer by street and near the trains station. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is delicious. The single room is somewhat small but enough. The room and the bathroom were clean all days. The light and air condition were easy to use. You should consider the hotel doesn't have a pool, if you want is to swiming at the end off hot day.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I thought the location was very central but it was very difficult to find a car space near the hotel. The room was modern but the bathroom very small and shower and AC not working properly. Considering the price and car park difficulties, I would rather choose a location down on the waterfront. Everything is at walking distance anyway.

The room was spacious and shower was fine but the wifi was so awful — it made it difficult for us to map out our day or find ferry locations. The breakfast included with room was almost non existent they barely had anything available. The location of hotel is decent also because it is in between a busy strip with stores, restaurants, convenience stores, and even a grocery but if you were hoping to be close to the rest of Amalfi coast (it is min. 35 mins to Amalfi, 60 mins to Positano and 90 mins to Capri). The ferries to those locations from this city are limited so you have to leave early and come back early. Also ferry prices begin to add up when you buy round trip. Aside from eating at a nearby restaurant and strolling by the water there isn’t much else to do here.

Great location, get what you pay for. Friendly and helpful staff, short walk to the train station and safe area. The bathroom was a little dated and not properly cleaned before our stay. Breakfast was decent – a standard intercontinental buffet. The room was spacious and aircon was good. Furniture was a little randomly selected for the room but that’s just a nit-pick. Unsure if it lives up to its 4-star status, but was reasonably priced for what we got, thank you.
