It was a surprised. We stays in this chain few times but we never feel comfortable. We stays because they are affordable during busy season. Same reason this time in Tokyo. One of common problem in this chain is hotel always over heated, very very very hot and stuffy during winter, too much heat and not enough AC during summer. Early Dec in Tokyo was kind is cool, if we open the window, it was ok (thanks god this windows can be opened). But it will become pretty noisy. It’s a busy red light district and facing rail, it gets pretty noisy if you open the window. Hotel use double seal window, it blocks most of the noise in our room (2F), which is pretty nice. Bath room been renovated, bed is comfortable, it’s clean, it does surprised me. If I come to Tokyo again in few yrs and hotel are too expensive else where, we will consider this again. And location is great too, near popular tourist shopping district.

Well located but the room I got for a party of three was not clean. The AC unit has lots of dust on the filter inlet and the air vent… it was so dusty we didn’t use it. We decide to open the window instead but of course it gets noisy due to the trains. The bathroom in our room looks clean but smells bad and no ventilation, gives me a headache when I use it due to the smell. When stepping into the bathroom, we find lots of hair on the floor… we figured out the hair is from the room carpet, sticking to bottom of the slippers and then contaminating the bathroom/toilet floor… this means the carpet was not cleaned as there was lots of hair everywhere…. Unfortunately I will not stay here again…. although noted the room we got was very spacious, it is located next to lift and cleaning room. This hotel is a decent 3 stars, should not be comparing to 4 stars to be fair

Stayed here for 8 nights solo. When I first got into the room I thought, oh dear, this is small. But then as the week went on I realised it was perfect! Perfect location, great price, all the ammenities I needed, wonderful staff. Bed was comfy, air con was silent, TV worked perfectly, view was ok. Would stay again.

Hotel Mystays Gotanda is a business hotel providing very good value for the money. I stayed here to work for a few hours and sleep one night.The room and bathroom were very clean. I could control the temperature myself (important to me). There is a small desk and internet is included, so it was possible to work. The TV works and provides hotel-specific information (like password for the WLAN). A conbini is right next to the entrance and there is a "Natural Lawson" conbini a few meters from the entrance as well.
