The location is very convenient. You can go everywhere in Barcelona. And it’s a safe place. The room is not so big so you can’t open 2suitcases. They have nice breakfast offer, too. I highly recommend it.

Bathroom is not what was pictured in booking. Nor did I get the room I booked. Floor in bath could not stay dry from the shower. Not space for cosmetics, no iron, limited towels. No ice bucket just a plastic bag that melts all over the place. I would not stay here again too many other places that looked much better.

The location is perfect for those who like shopping and eating out - only a few minutes walk from Plaza de Catalunya! The hotel seems old style but it is definitely renovated, to look historical yet clean. (Not old and moldy!) Our room had a massive balcony - we didn’t know what we should do about it but it was very nice. The service can be better, as I felt the staff seemed like just doing their job - no hospitality.

Its dated wood and glass doors conceal a lamp-lit hallway, a subtle invitation to explore its depths. The hotel, draped in a cloak of 'old' and 'character', offers an interior reminiscent of a bygone era — from its sizeable reception adorned with sofas crying for reupholstering to the grandeur of its staircase. Despite its proximity to the Rambla's vibrancy, Hotel Nouvel harbors a surprising tranquility. Its ancient lift glides silently between floors, while corridors, broad and inviting, are adorned with vivid red lampshades and nooks filled with books for the taking. The faint scent of bleach whispers of cleanliness, reassuring for some. The staff, from the reception to the cleaning team, exude warmth and helpfulness, mirroring the eclectic mix of guests in age and nationality. Rooms, though small and embracing their dated charm, are equipped with surprisingly ample sockets for the modern gadget fiend. Firm beds ensure a restful sleep. While we didn't indulge in the hotel's breakfast offerings, opting instead for local culinary adventures, the provision of bottled water in the room was a welcome touch. The hotel's amenities, including an adequate array of toiletries and the curious inclusion of a shoe-shine pad, align well with its budget-friendly ethos. Hotel Nouvel rightfully earns its accolades. Its blend of quirky charm, cleanliness, and prime location, all at an attractive price point, makes it a commendable choice.
