Wanted to give our kids the full Venetian experience and they got exactly that. The decor makes me picture women in gowns with corsets & the men wearing Amadeus wigs. The hotel is in a good location. Close to St.Mark’s square and the grand canal if you need to meet there for any tours. We booked the quadruple room for 4 people. Spacious room. Great variety for breakfast. Toilet in bathroom would not flush. Had to flush at least three times. Half the lights in the bathroom were not working. The wrong t.v remote control was in the room. No milk provided to go with the tea/coffee facilities. Have to leave the key at reception each time you leave your room, which is out of the building and around the corner. There was a terrible smell as you enter the building to go to your room. It was a bit like boiled cabbage, but who knows. It was there during our whole stay. Not suitable for those with a disability. There is no lift and lots of stairs, so yes you have to carry your luggage up. P.S: Love how they get defensive in their response, instead of rectifying the problems. Toilet did NOT flush properly. Wrong remote WAS present. We had to go to reception & ask for the correct one. We did not say cabbage was boiled. We said it SMELT like boiled cabbage. Whatever it was, it stank the whole time.

It was an okay place to stay but one time we got back from eating dinner, and one of us were sick so we went into the reception so we could get our key (you have to deliver your key everytime you leave) so then they had put a sign saying "I will be right back" so i gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited 10 mins while my friend was about to throw up and then i decided i didn't care and went to grab the key myself (You can see it from where u stand at the reception) anyways we get up into our hotel room then they call our hotel phone 10 min later and i pick up (I'm 15) and then he asks if i went in myself to grab my room key and i said yes and then without getting to say anything else he started threatening me with a fine and then just hung up. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Could've been better should the AC is functioning well. It was a bit hard to get a full-night rest due to malfunctioning ac to start with. However, they provided us with a mobile ac to resolved the issue until our stay. Our room was a bit small for 3 adults and challenging due to our luggage but we somehow managed. Clean room and spacious bathroom. Though there were bugs present, those were not the bedbugs. It made us a bit uneasy for awhile and got over it during our stay. Breakfast was okay and located on another gate where the yard is. Location is just easy to spot but be ready for some walks and struggles on the bridges on the way but you'd thank it later as it warms you up to explore Venice. It is very accessible to the luxury brand shopping hub, to San Marco and plenty of gondola stations. The receptionists/staffs were nice and professional in dealing with us.
