Hotel Sherazade

To begin I would like to say that all correspondence and queries before our check-in with Hotel Sherazade were quick and exceptional. We booked the travel from Menara airport to the Hotel through Hotel Sherazade for convinience. Our driver Yaseen waited outside arrivals and helped with our luggages and our short journey of 15mins saw us next to the square of Jemaa el Fna where it was a short walk to the Hotel through the culture filled alleyways. Upon arrival we were greeted with Karim who was very helpful and hospitable in everyway. Another colleague Yusuf helped with our belongings as we were given the terraced room which was on the rooftop which also included a baby cot as requested. A complimentary mint tea was given which was a fine welcome addition to our stay. We were not too interested in watching TV though we had one, as we had planned everyday with fun filled activities from morning to evening. Our terraced room was spacious and comfy especially our son who slept like an angel throughout the night as his cot contained a blanket which was well layered. Our bathroom toilet was clean and we always received fresh towels as instructed on the walls for new ones. For those that are not familiar with Muslim countries the morning call to prayers (Fajr) known as the Adhaan is recited out loud on a tannoy in the early morning 0530AM which was beautiful so dont be afraid if you hear it because you will hear the call to prayer 5 times a day throughout specific times. Thr breakfast area is located on the terrace next to our room where it housed many guests that were staying too. The selection and variety of food was nutritious and light my favourtie being the morrocan pancake known as msemen. The Hotel has two sides when explored properly and has some beautiful layout, do not expect it to be super fancy its very cultural the way its supposed to be. During our stay we met with Suzanna and Carlo who were international students from Germany who were completing their internship in hospitality and loved their journey that has led them to Marrakesh. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis when we were out and the upstairs rooftop housed a great view of the Medina/Koutoubia Mosque. The Hotel accomodated our baby needs such as warm water and are prompt with requests. The only thing to watch out for is the narrow stairsways leading to the room which can be steep so watch your step. Overall I loved everything about Hotel Sherazade, well accesible, safe and always on standby. I hope to one day revisit Marrakesh again for my annivarsay and utilise their services again. The hotel was able to book external services on your behalf like excursions etc. we tried the couples Hamam and Spa which is 10/10. Marrakesh & Hotel Sherazade you will be missed.

It just felt like coming home. The rooms were beautiful as well as the terrasse and the courtyard. There is so much love in detail. Also, the people there were nice and always helped with all the questions we had. They gave us good advice and organized e.g. a good tour guide for us or a taxi to the airport. And it was also very personal. The breakfast was also very good with fresh fruits every day and some typical Moroccan food. The value for the money is very good!
