Hotel Sorriso

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff is friendly and the location is great. The area is generally quiet, albeit we’ve been there during the last week of May, so still not peak season. A PUBLIC sandy beach is available 5 min walk (the private beach is only open during a certain period which isn’t clear when booking). There are restaurants, bars, cafes and a Coop supermarket nearby which was very convenient. It’s a bit of a trek on the island, but I’d recommend getting a 2 day 30€ Venice visitor’s card which will give you unlimited access to public boats as well as buses (30€ for 2 DAYS). The hotel is 1 min walk from the nearest bus station, where you can get the A or B bus straight to Lido SME port and back. From there boats will take you to the “main island” - first stop is about a 7 min boat ride. The boat ride to St Mark’s square is about 20-25 mins. The only reason I’m giving it 4* and not 5 is the breakfast. The options are VERY limited, with NO vegetables at all. The food is also served to you, rather than you putting it on your plates due to covid, and I can’t say they were very generous with the portions. A regular sized guy like me had to make 5-6 trip back to the bar. This wasn’t really an issue but if you’re booking via Booking.com, I wouldn’t class this breakfast as “Good”. Otherwise the place is great and you’ll definitely enjoy your stay for the price. Edit: Thank you to the owner for the response. The option for the private beach and its opening dates aren’t specified or mentioned when booking; this might be something to look into. We also weren’t told by anyone at the reception about this and were directed to the public beach straight away, but it wasn’t really an issue as we were there when the sea was still quite cold and the beaches empty. Thank you for clarifying the information about the travel passes, I also edited the info above to reflect yours. Completely understand the breakfast rules, hopefully you found my review useful and will look into adding a few veggies into the selection :)

Very bad hotel and poor service, I booked a room for 4 nights, but after 1 night stay I decided to check out because the room was terrible there was no heating system I was feeling so cold all the night, I tried to call the reception, but the telephone inside the room was not working, then I came down to seek help I found no one in the lobby except a dog that was barking and scared me too much. The next day when I wanted to check out the receptionist was very rude. I recommend everyone NOT to stay at this hotel at all.
