Hotel the Rock is located at a good walk away from Dotonburi, the famous main street of Osaka, as well as the surrounding areas with nice restaurants and bars. The hotel offers nice cozy capsules in shared rooms where you can stay cheaply. You are given nice amenities such as shampoo and cotton buds, making your stay very cozy. The breakfast is, however, rather meager. Only 2 slices of bread are given per person, there is but only butter and jam as spreads available (nothing else) and a soup. Coffee, tea and juice are offered as drinks, and the bread can be toasted, but if you're hoping for a hearty meal to start your day, it's not at this hotel. The capsules where you sleep are clean and comfortable, though it can get rather warm inside. All things considered, I would consider staying here a second time.

convenient location. gorgeous exterior. a big pricey for a capsule hotel however and the bathrooms / shower area could have been cleaner. there wasn't enough sinks / showers for the amount of capsules in my opinion and the sinks and floor were messy. the breakfast was however nice. Pajamas aren't free with stay they're a 200 yen rental which was odd and not mentioned on my booking information.

Capsules were neat and clean and the floor I was on at least was quite well behaved. Everyone was very quiet and respectful, and the washrooms and bathrooms were reasonably clean. The receptionist that checked me in at 1:30 AM for my unexpected one night stay after staying too late in Osaka was extremely helpful, even pulling out Google Translate to bypass the language barrier. She was an absolute angel and I'm very grateful for her help.

We stayed in a bunk bed room on the 7th floor. No room doors, only big curtains, but that was fine for us. Everyone on the floor was quiet. Each floor shares 2 toilet rooms and 2 shower rooms. Some free amenities, some had to rent. We rented pajamas for ¥200 each. We booked online an hour before to make sure we got the room. Free wifi and show lockers as well. Firm futon, but I still slept well.
