We stayed at Hotel Weidenhof for one night because the location looked convenient (near train and bus station) and the price was extremely affordable compared to other hotels. Overall, I'd recommend this place! While the rooms are basic, the bathrooms were spacious and clean with good water pressure. The beds were a little noisy/uncomfortable but I was able to sleep well. If you are facing the main street, it can be a bit noisy with rush hour traffic. The location is outstanding, in the Japanese quarter, mere steps to excellent Japanese restaurants and cafes. The location is about 8 minutes from the station, 15 minutes walking to downtown, but through the main shopping district so the walk is pleasant and nice. Public transit (trains, buses, trams) are all within close walking distance. Pro tip: They have EXTREMELY affordable regional transit passes which are good on the u/s-bahn, as well as regional trains. Make sure to enquire about this at check in because you could save a ton of money!!!

Almost 5 stars, everything was fine, clean. Perfect water pressure, clean rooms, very friendly service, healthy breakfast, great overall 3 Star Hotel. Rooms were slightly minimalistically equipped, bare bone. Little more color or pictures would give the feeling of relaxation, not just a utility, however highly recommended during heavy show, convention, etc. Season and outside of them. Close to the train station, 10 min walk.

I was traveling from the UK to Sachsen and intended to commence my rail journey in Düsseldorf. I chose this hotel because it is near to the Hauptbahnhof. The welcome was friendly, despite my late arrival. Everything was clearly explained to me. My room was spotlessly clean and offered all that one would expect. Some people have written about the heat. My room was warm, but my stay took place in July, so one must accept higher temperatures. Reception were most accomdating when I asked for a late night cup of coffee. Breakfast was served in a pleasant, quiet room and was most enjoyable. All in all, a lucky find, at least from my point of view. The price was most acceptable. I would be delighted to stay there again (if they will have me) Well done to all who made my stay enjoyable.
