I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ibis Annecy Centre Vieille Ville, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel's prime location, just a mere minute's walk from the enchanting old town, was simply unbeatable. This proximity allowed us to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Annecy effortlessly. What truly stood out was the amazing relaxed atmosphere that permeated the entire establishment. The hotel exuded a calm and welcoming vibe that immediately put us at ease. We also appreciated the abundance of restaurant options in the vicinity, ensuring we had a wide variety of culinary delights to choose from. Another highlight was the convenient 6-minute walk to Annecy Lake. The proximity to this breathtaking natural wonder added an extra layer of magic to our stay. The option to take our breakfast and enjoy it by the serene lake was a fantastic touch, making our mornings truly memorable. The rooms at ibis Annecy Centre Vieille Ville were impeccably clean, and the lobby area was inviting and well-maintained. The breakfast was a treat, offering a great start to our days. The option to take away breakfast and savor it by the lake was a unique and delightful experience. However, it's worth noting that behind the hotel is the red cross center, and we did encounter some homeless individuals and individuals struggling with addiction issues in the vicinity. This made me cautious about letting my family walk around alone in the area, as I wanted to ensure their safety. It's possible I may have been overly cautious, but I believe it's always better to be safe than sorry. Overall, our stay at ibis Annecy Centre Vieille Ville was fantastic. The hotel's incredible location, serene atmosphere, and the convenience of dining and exploring nearby attractions made it a memorable experience. It's definitely a place I would recommend to fellow travelers looking to explore the beauty of Annecy.

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean room if somewhat cramped. Not sure they should advertise this property as "air conditioned". It was uncomfortably warm in my room, even with the room's cooling system activated. Maybe broken, or maybe because the property temperature is centrally controlled to 25°C (this was suggested by the front desk staff). Either way, I had a hard time sleeping because it was so warm. For this reason I wouldn't stay at the property again in the future, nor would I recommend it to others who prefer a cool sleeping room. Note to property: I'd gladly pay extra if you'd turn on the AC. Maybe consider a surcharge for guests who need more cooling? Just an idea; sweating and tossing and turning all night ruins the experience, no matter how correct or pleasant everything else is.

The location is great but unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable. Just a note for future guests: there is not a mini fridge is available in the room.
