I loved my stay at this hotel. My friend and I booked a double superior room and found it very confortable for 2 friends travelling together. We had room 104 which is lovely with a separate sitting room, a bathroom with great water pressure in the shower, diptyque bath products and a nice king bed. There was a bathtub in the bedroom which was kind of strange but it helpful as a staging area for our clothes for each day. The fitness room was a delightful surprise and the sauna, albeit small (for 2 people) was a very welcome way to end a workout. The decor is colourful and whimsical. The staff are so so friendly. The location is very convenient if traveling by Eurostar. The neighborhood is urban (it’s right by the train station) but I never felt unsafe. We walked every day from our hotel to other parts of Paris for dining, touring etc. It was super convenient. I would stay again!

Just spent 2 nights w a pal for a girls’ trip at the fun and friendly Hotel Les Deux Gares, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It is very conveniently located near the Gare du Nord, making arrival and departure from that station very easy and quick. No schlepping bags on the metro or wrangling in an Uber, which I very much appreciated. The design is charming — you either like its fun, colorful and playful sensibility or you don’t and I loved it! Thoughtful, quirky — and most importantly for me — very comfortable. Our Superior Double room was gigantic, with a shower + a tub and separate sitting room. The heavy curtains blocked out all light and noise from windows on 2 sides that overlooked the Gare de L’Est. The bed was big (American king) and exceedingly comfortable. We used the gym and sauna in the cellar, which were well equipped and honestly — a lovely surprise. The staff — day and night attendants, breakfast ladies, chambermaid — were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely — eggs available upon request! The Diptique toiletries were fragrant + luxurious. A word about the location: As 2 women traveling together, we felt safe coming + going from the hotel together. The neighborhood isn’t touristy, but we walked everywhere we wanted to go and found that the hotel was around a 30 minute walk from most of what we came to Paris to do…. Excellent restaurants were 10-15 minutes away…. It was a nice change from staying in St Germain and we are already planning a return trip to Hotel Les Deux Gares.

made a reservation in november for february. had to cancel my trip due to personal reasons, reached out to them with a month in advance asking for a refund (even though it was a non refundable reservation), and they simply denied it. didn’t even offer an alternative or the possibility to change my dates so i wouldn’t lose it completely. at first i booked this hotel because i found it beautiful, but this type of costumer service is just disappointing.

While I love the concept of this hotel, I feel like this is an Instagram trap. The location was awful as a tourist. There was a lot of noise outside our room (a fight broke out between a group of men and this type of activity continued throughout the evening), lack of walkability, lack of nice restaurants, overall we did not feel safe. Additionally, the rooms were so small we could barely move around the bed. The shower is open within the bedroom, which is fine, however the water poured out of the shower onto the carpet in the room. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean but for the price of the rooms, it’s just not worth the investment.
