Stayed at many properties over our 2 week trip and this was the last one we were at for 4 nights. This was the last of 4 different Hyatt’s we stayed at. Biggest pro is its beautiful view of the bridge. Had a few other issues though. We went the first week of December so it wasn’t very crowded and we’re there for 4 nights. Our room was SMALL. the king bed was awesome and had two closets but they have built it’s with no where to put our suitcases. We put them on either side of the bed but had no room to walk around them. Other than that there as one small chair in the corner with a wobbly table that had a broken leg. The bathroom got so wet every time we showered. There was no rim for the shower pan and the door didn’t shut all the way, so there was so much water on the floor even with a bath mat. So much so that the door frame to the bathroom was black with mold/rotting. The pool is also another $15 per day per person if you’re not booking a spa treatment. Breakfast is not included in your stay. We were told it was $25 each when checking in, but got charged $30 each. Not a huge deal but these small things were adding up for what is advertised as a 5 star hotel. Biggest bummer was, ICON, their rooftop bar/restaurant with some of the best views of the bridge was closed. Thinking it was just closed for the season, we asked if we could still go up for a few minutes. We were told no it was closed for construction. After seeing other people from our room balcony up there, we decided to go check it out. No construction, just looks closed for the season, there was even employees up there taking a smoke break. Would have been nice to know it was closed as it’s the first picture on their website. All in all, not the worst by any means but it unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.

We had a very nice time staying here over Christmas. We only had a short stay and did not have time to take advantage of the spa. We did eat at the restaurant and had room service delivered. The food was great. We were both happy with everything we ordered. They were able to handle special requests. The service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful. I am a wheelchair user. The accessible room was done very well. I was able to get around the room and bathroom without any difficulty. The elevators are wide enough and easy to use. My only suggestions to improve would be to have a small microwave in the accessible rooms. I was disappointed that the sangria could not be ordered for room service. It was very good and I was let down that we couldn't have it delivered to our room. Beer and wine was available but not what we wanted. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Cons: very nice helpful people working in Hyatt, good restaurant, good food with nice prices. Pleasant interiors. Awesome spa and nice, but small pool. Very comfortable beds. Pros: room very noisy, hotel is by busy road, you hear trains, airplanes and motocycles. Thicker, noise proof glass would fix the issue.

This is an absolutely terrific 5 star luxury hotel located on the river, with a terrific view of the April 25 bridge and within walking distance of important historic monuments, and must see museums and architecture. The rooms are very spacious, bright and comfy with lots of great amenities. Each has a spacious balcony, many overlooking the river. Plenty of indoor parking. The breakfast buffet is big and filled with great stuff The staff are all outstanding. They’re super professional, helpful and responsive. The spa is amazing with a pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, experiential showers and the coolest relaxation room you’ll ever find. We treated ourselves to ourselves to the most relaxing 80 minute massage we’ve ever had! There’s a fantastic rooftop bar which, when the weather is nice, can’t be beat for luxury and view. For a property this good, it’s surprisingly reasonably priced. No, it’s not downtown Lisbon, (a 10 minute Uber away) but it’s a great place to stay! (Photos are from our balcony.)

1. Location: If it's your first time in Lisbon, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Similar to other Hyatt Regency hotels in different countries, it leans towards a business-oriented vibe. Situated next to the exhibition center, it's relatively far from the central city attractions. It's only closer to the Belem area. 2. Room: The room in Lisbon is considered spacious with a nice design and a balcony. The only downside is the bathroom; it tends to leak, and the decorative wood peels off. Despite being a new hotel, these issues suggest a lack of maintenance. Surprisingly, the hotel places soap and shampoo dispensers not on the bathroom wall or counter, but on the floor, making it inconvenient and unsafe for guests during showers. 3. The service staff is okay, but I'd suggest more smiles and proactive service. Considering the nightly rate is over two hundred euros, it's relatively high, especially when you can find many high-end boutique hotels in Lisbon.
