It was nice to have a safe warm place to lay our heads in London, I must admit I need to be careful about stairs in some of these booking again. But I did manage to get up and down at least 3 times. The landings are two full and the two full cases again to get to the second floor. Lord this was manageable for this single night for me but reptively would have been a disaster. This lovely place is historic and I enjoyed its beauty and age but not again. I keep saying careful, no falling allowed. If you are disabled be selective.

The hotel experience was highly unsatisfactory. The staff, particularly Mr. Wahmad at the reception, displayed a lack of sensitivity and seemed unhelpful. During an emergency requiring the use of the washroom and with my roommate occupying our room's facility, I was denied access to the common washroom, citing hotel policy by Mr. Wahmad. When I questioned this policy, asking if the staff refrains from using washrooms during their duty hours, he suggested a restricted fourth-floor option not available to others. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

We booked a room at this hotel in december. Our flight got delayed and the staff was helpfull with keeping our original booking so that we could check in early the next day. When we came to check in, no-one was at the desk for 8 minutes with no information on how to contact anyone. The staff at the check-in scanned our passports, made us fill out a form and pay for our rooms, before informing us that we had to walk all the way back to Paddington station (where we had just walked from) and check into another hotel (Royal Eagle Hotel). We had to run back to the other hotel and do the check-in process again which made us late to a reservation we had.

They asked for a £50 deposit on arrival which they said would be paid back if we hadn't been smoking. They sent me about a week after my stay asking me to write a review, I replied telling them I will write them a review once the deposit has been returned. They replied that the deposit has been sent, some banks take longer than others to process. It is now almost 2 months since my stay and I still haven't received the deposit. I left them a bad review on trip advisor and they replied asking me to send them my booking information. I did so, and they haven't replied.
